TY for the articles - I like the entitled one. Natalie is 5 months now. I think it's about time she did the dishes!
....
Is there an issue? I haven't noticed, but I mostly use Firefox because Safari kept crashing and my Mac is too old for the new version of Safari, sorry I'm no help
I hadn't heard of one either :coverla f: You can always try! You need an excuse to wear one of your new dresses.
Happy Belated Birthday! Hope you had a great one :dance13 :
Hi XXXXXX,
I am writing to you concerning an experience I had in the Lutz office yesterday. I was given a card with phone numbers to contact you. They don't appear to go directly to you, so I decided to email you instead. This is my first time contacting a manager anywhere, so I hope it's okay to communicate this way. I asked for the name of the employee who was so incredibly rude, but I'm not sure I have the correct name. The receptionist said she would give me both names. I didn't need her name, but if she wanted to give it to me that was fine. It turns out that I only got one name, which was Jenna. I don't know if it's the correct name or not. The woman who was so nasty toward me wasn't the woman who sits at the greeting window. She has always been very nice. It was the blond woman who sits in the same enclosed area, but closer to the nurses station.
First, a little background. I have been going to the Lutz office for several years. I always saw Dr. Stern. When he left the office, I continued to go to Lutz. During that time I had my prescriptions mixed up twice & a pap smear messed up. No offense to the other doctors, but I decided I'd feel more comfortable to go back to Dr. Stern. After looking at the website, I discovered he was in the South Tampa office. I went to that office for the first time for my 6 month checkup, prior to the appointment yesterday. Lutz is much closer to me, so I was happy when I looked at the website & saw Dr. Stern was back in that office. I called Lutz to make an appointment. At that time, I mentioned that my last appt. was at South Tampa & wanted to know if I needed to do anything about my records. I was told no. It would be fine. I went to the doctor yesterday, expecting the same pleasant experience I always have. Unfortunately, it couldn't have been any worse. I am 44 years old & can honestly say the treatment I received from the woman mentioned earlier was the worst customer service I've ever received anywhere. I'm still in shock over the whole incident.
They called me in quickly & asked the reason for my appt. I explained it was for a check up & prescription refills. The nurse was having a hard time finding my prescriptions & asked if I was still taking another one. I didn't remember ever taking that, but I didn't think anything about it. When Dr. Stern comes in he's asking questions that make no sense to me. It finally occurred to me that he didn't have the correct information. I told him that wasn't me. It turns out he had the wrong file. Again, I didn't think anything about it mistakes happen. When he went to get the correct file things went downhill fast. I don't know if this woman was embarrassed she had pulled the wrong file or what, but her reaction was unbelievable. She starts yelling about my file, & making it clear how she felt about me being there. I was in the exam room across from what appeared to be the break room. I think it was one for the end. Anyway, I could clearly hear everything she was yelling. She was talking so loudly I wasn't the only one. Everyone in the office could have easily heard how she felt about me being there. After attempting to get them to request my file be faxed, Dr. Stern comes back in & makes a makeshift record to add to my file later. I could hear her telling him how she felt about getting my records from South Tampa & wasn't surprised he came back with a blank paper. Even though I could still hear her talking about me, I decided to let it go. Everyone can have a bad day. Plus, I was only hearing a voice. I didn't see a face. Unfortunately, she wasn't done. During my examination, Dr. Stern informed me that he was again leaving the Lutz office. I would need to go back to South Tampa. When I came out to check out, this same voice loudly says, "Dr. Stern told me you're going back to South Tampa." Then she yells at me saying, "You can't come back to this office again!" She reiterates, "You can't come back to this off again!" Then walks out. This added to other treatment was too much to let go. I felt I needed to tell someone. Everyone in this office & the South Tampa office has always been very nice. This woman was about as far as you can get from that. Her attitude was inexcusable. I've never been made to feel so unwelcome anywhere. As I said previously, I'm still in shock that it actually happened. I can't believe anyone would behave so badly in a public office. The experience was both embarrassing & upsetting.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. I felt it needed to be said. She shouldn't be allowed to treat people the way I was treated yesterday.

my only worry would be, if you sent an email, it could get lost in the mailbox, or it could be that the rude lady is the one that checks the email box and she could see it and delete it. you could probably call the office and ask for the name of the blonde receptionist tho. maybe you can find out her name that way?

I don't remember her saying anything illegal. It was just the way she was saying everything. If they had told me on the phone that it would be too much trouble to get my records, I wouldn't have made the appointment. It wouldn't have been a big deal. Her yelling about me at a volume where the entire office could hear was very embarrassing. As was telling me not to come back there again for everyone to hear. I didn't speak one word to this woman. She had no reason to attack like she did. The only words I said to anyone, other than my doctor, was to ask the receptionist for that woman's name. That was it. I'm still puzzled by her extreme reaction to the situation.
I think your letter is good, and I hope that you get results.

Do you know if your doctor's office have a formal complaint form? Most hospitals/clinics do, and like nerdy, I'm a bit worried your email may get lost in the mailbox.
Also, maybe you could include the time and date of the incident and more physical description of the employee since you're not sure about her name. I hope this matter gets resolve soon.
