Yep, I buy the $15 one. I've never tried the cheaper one, so I can't comment on it. The one I buy works great. I'm very fair skinned & didn't get burned at the beach. We were there about 4 hrs. & were in & out of the water w/o reapplying. The week before I didn't put it on the bottom of my legs & top of my feet thinking I'd mostly be in the water & not need it. Needless to say, I looked like a lobster. I did put it on my upper body & it didn't burn at all.
thanks! that's a raving review if there ever was one! i'm not fair, but i definitely do not like getting burned (but who does?) so i take sunscreen very seriously. going to pick some up for my bachelorette party, whenever i get a chance to go to bbw. hopefully they have some.

Went to benihana for dinner and saw marques houston there! (that little guy on sister sister - yeah, i didn't know him by name either - i had to search google on my phone while i was eating) Hehe i never expect any star sightings on the eastside.
Does he look the same? Was he by himself? I hate to admit, but I get star-struck when it comes to celebrities...whether A List or D List.

I won't lie, it was pretty fun. I think DH still sees it as a "working vacay" b/c my parents were there : lol: I hope you get one soon!
Is there an issue? I haven't noticed, but I mostly use Firefox because Safari kept crashing and my Mac is too old for the new version of Safari, sorry I'm no help
I hadn't heard of one either :coverla f: You can always try! You need an excuse to wear one of your new dresses. Wink2 On this invite it specifically said "No Presents Please.", but I think I'll send them a canvas print of a pic my DH took. They had miles and miles of windmills, it was kind of magical at sunset. Thanks for your thoughts. He was my great uncle, so amazing that I have so many of the "greats" around still (5 out of 8!). I feel so lucky to know them.
Happy Belated Birthday! Hope you had a great one :dance13 :
That sounds like the perfect gift. You are very blessed to have great aunts & uncles living. Out of 18 aunts & uncles I only have 1 uncle living. We didn't have any "greats" living, by the time I was born. Cherish them, while you can. Smilie

Thanks

We may be in Orlando around that time - my BDay is the 4th and I wanted to go then. Hoping everything works out, we should definitely meet up if we're in the area!!
That sounds great. I think our dates would be close to that. I'll have to look at the cruise dates again to know for sure.

Ladies, I need an opinion. I had a horrible doctor's office experience yesterday. I'm writing to the office manager. This is my first time reporting anyone, so I want you all to proofread it for me. I'm still upset about the whole incident, so I may not have expressed myself in the most professional way. Please, read it for me & tell me what should be changed. TIA hug

Hi XXXXXX,
I am writing to you concerning an experience I had in the Lutz office yesterday. I was given a card with phone numbers to contact you. They don't appear to go directly to you, so I decided to email you instead. This is my first time contacting a manager anywhere, so I hope it's okay to communicate this way. I asked for the name of the employee who was so incredibly rude, but I'm not sure I have the correct name. The receptionist said she would give me both names. I didn't need her name, but if she wanted to give it to me that was fine. It turns out that I only got one name, which was Jenna. I don't know if it's the correct name or not. The woman who was so nasty toward me wasn't the woman who sits at the greeting window. She has always been very nice. It was the blond woman who sits in the same enclosed area, but closer to the nurses station.

First, a little background. I have been going to the Lutz office for several years. I always saw Dr. Stern. When he left the office, I continued to go to Lutz. During that time I had my prescriptions mixed up twice & a pap smear messed up. No offense to the other doctors, but I decided I'd feel more comfortable to go back to Dr. Stern. After looking at the website, I discovered he was in the South Tampa office. I went to that office for the first time for my 6 month checkup, prior to the appointment yesterday. Lutz is much closer to me, so I was happy when I looked at the website & saw Dr. Stern was back in that office. I called Lutz to make an appointment. At that time, I mentioned that my last appt. was at South Tampa & wanted to know if I needed to do anything about my records. I was told no. It would be fine. I went to the doctor yesterday, expecting the same pleasant experience I always have. Unfortunately, it couldn't have been any worse. I am 44 years old & can honestly say the treatment I received from the woman mentioned earlier was the worst customer service I've ever received anywhere. I'm still in shock over the whole incident.

They called me in quickly & asked the reason for my appt. I explained it was for a check up & prescription refills. The nurse was having a hard time finding my prescriptions & asked if I was still taking another one. I didn't remember ever taking that, but I didn't think anything about it. When Dr. Stern comes in he's asking questions that make no sense to me. It finally occurred to me that he didn't have the correct information. I told him that wasn't me. It turns out he had the wrong file. Again, I didn't think anything about it mistakes happen. When he went to get the correct file things went downhill fast. I don't know if this woman was embarrassed she had pulled the wrong file or what, but her reaction was unbelievable. She starts yelling about my file, & making it clear how she felt about me being there. I was in the exam room across from what appeared to be the break room. I think it was one for the end. Anyway, I could clearly hear everything she was yelling. She was talking so loudly I wasn't the only one. Everyone in the office could have easily heard how she felt about me being there. After attempting to get them to request my file be faxed, Dr. Stern comes back in & makes a makeshift record to add to my file later. I could hear her telling him how she felt about getting my records from South Tampa & wasn't surprised he came back with a blank paper. Even though I could still hear her talking about me, I decided to let it go. Everyone can have a bad day. Plus, I was only hearing a voice. I didn't see a face. Unfortunately, she wasn't done. During my examination, Dr. Stern informed me that he was again leaving the Lutz office. I would need to go back to South Tampa. When I came out to check out, this same voice loudly says, "Dr. Stern told me you're going back to South Tampa." Then she yells at me saying, "You can't come back to this office again!" She reiterates, "You can't come back to this off again!" Then walks out. This added to other treatment was too much to let go. I felt I needed to tell someone. Everyone in this office & the South Tampa office has always been very nice. This woman was about as far as you can get from that. Her attitude was inexcusable. I've never been made to feel so unwelcome anywhere. As I said previously, I'm still in shock that it actually happened. I can't believe anyone would behave so badly in a public office. The experience was both embarrassing & upsetting.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I felt it needed to be said. She shouldn't be allowed to treat people the way I was treated yesterday.

was she verbally abusing you? did she knowingly reveal personal details + violate patient confidentiality? Was she being racist/sexist/discriminating against you based on age? i think you can be a bit more concise + use proactive words in your complaint. you should ask for her to be disciplined or undergo training. Obviously she's highly unprofessional. Ask for a follow up so they address this.

sorry your experience was so horrible. definitely try to get her name.

We're both white females around the same age, so none of that happened. She was just yelling that she wasn't going to get my records. I shouldn't be there. She didn't care, if I was there to see a particular doctor. If I went to the other office, I had stay there & see somebody there. As my doctor told me, I am self-pay, so there's no insurance forms for the offices to deal with. He said some insurances only want to deal with one office, but that didn't apply to me. She just didn't want to do her job. I think my doctor was almost as embarrassed by her behavior as I was. The only thing she said to my face was that I couldn't come there again twice. All the rest I could hear from the exam room. I really think she messed up & pulled the wrong records, then took it out on me. I don't know, if that's the case, so I didn't mention it. This woman wasn't talking to me or my doctor. She was yelling at both of is in an irate manner. I did try to get her name. The receptionist only gave me one name, but I don't know if it was hers. She also said the office manager already knew about it. I'm sure she was trying to convince me there was no need to call. She may have known about the situation. Surely, she didn't know how her employee was behaving. For all I know, the name didn't belong to either of them. That's why I attempted to explain the appearance & where she was sitting.

awww sorry you had such an awful experience!! hug that really sounds ridiculous how rude she was. i agree with wolfie - if you point out certain things that she did that was not only unprofessional and rude but also illegal, it would cause for more concern.

my only worry would be, if you sent an email, it could get lost in the mailbox, or it could be that the rude lady is the one that checks the email box and she could see it and delete it. you could probably call the office and ask for the name of the blonde receptionist tho. maybe you can find out her name that way?

The person who gave me the name to begin with is the one who answers the phone. I wouldn't know if she was telling me the truth or not. She's probably trying to keep her coworker out of trouble. Maybe, I'll have my DH call & ask for it. I don't what reason he'd give for calling though.

I don't remember her saying anything illegal. It was just the way she was saying everything. If they had told me on the phone that it would be too much trouble to get my records, I wouldn't have made the appointment. It wouldn't have been a big deal. Her yelling about me at a volume where the entire office could hear was very embarrassing. As was telling me not to come back there again for everyone to hear. I didn't speak one word to this woman. She had no reason to attack like she did. The only words I said to anyone, other than my doctor, was to ask the receptionist for that woman's name. That was it. I'm still puzzled by her extreme reaction to the situation.

GH, I'm so sorry that happened to you. I've never had an experience like that, but whenever someone really pisses me off, I ask their name on the spot. I think it's sort of a warning, since they know you may be able to complain. You may want to consider that in the future.

I think your letter is good, and I hope that you get results.

Sorry to hear about the rude treatment you received at your doctor's, GH. Comfort She has no right to yell at you like that and tell you not to come back. Sounds like she overreacted to a simple mistake she made. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Do you know if your doctor's office have a formal complaint form? Most hospitals/clinics do, and like nerdy, I'm a bit worried your email may get lost in the mailbox.

Also, maybe you could include the time and date of the incident and more physical description of the employee since you're not sure about her name. I hope this matter gets resolve soon. hug
