Yeah they usually do an evaluation and estimate and all that fun stuff. Show you your options and whatnot. Also make sure to check with your insurance company as to what roofing types give you discounts. Even ask them to run quotes for you. Make 'em work for it.
Some roofing types can literally knock a couple hundred dollars off of your premium! That ends up being quite a savings over the years!
