I'm sorry. I've had it happen, too. Which of your plants can't take the heat? Do you have any suggestions for keeping them alive?

I have learned that it's easy to over water when it gets this hot. Then you get root problems that kill the plant faster than the heat.
Sugar snap peas.

But I know it's actually the heat and not my lack of gardening skill since the old people next door are having the same problem with the same plants laugh out loud

ICQ ftw!!! Cool
I used PowWow before that Glasses2
It did VOIP way back then. I used it to talk to someone in Australia, over a dial-up connection. Worked pretty well, apart from the full minute of lag laugh out loud

Day 5 on generator backup. My freezer in the garage has finally started to thaw so I'll have to go borrow another extension cord from the egg man. I should finish the transfer switch today and probably install the outlet box tomorrow in the gazebo. That way I can put the genny out there and not expose it to the elements too much.

The transfer switch has been successfully installed!!!! Whee

I'M GONNA GET A FARKING SHOWER!!!!!! Cool

I smell like homeless shelter right now. Sick

Oh man that was a pain in the ass. I didn't know I had so many 20amp circuits so I had to sacrifice power to the water heater, but I don't mind it in the heat. The one room I wanted to make sure worked (family room with the TV/router/etc.) wasn't labeled right, but that's okay. I can just run a cord from the kitchen. Holy crap it feels so good to be done with that. I was under porch running wires to the screened in gazebo......but hot damn I did it. Not too shabby for someone who's never worked with electricity. Woohoo!!!!!! Cloud9

Yesterday on my drive into work I saw three dead deer all at the same corner. It's pretty common to see them at that corner, but unusual to see that number all at once.

It's a sign. The grass is toxic in that location. Do not eat the grass. I repeat-

DO NOT EAT THE DEATH GRASS!

Why do you have to jump to the conclusion that i'm calling you a cow?!

What happens if you're in that location, trip, and end up getting grass in your mouth. Then you accidentally eat it?

I was trying to save your life, but fine Mad

Two years ago when we had similar storms to what we had this past week, they found a dead hobo in the dump about 100 miles away from where I lived when I was still in the city. When they identified him, they found out he was from my area. He was one of the hobos I use to give food to at the 7-11 two blocks from my house. Apparently he had climbed in to a dumpster to get out of the storm, and then the truck came the next morning to empty the dumpster when he was still in it. At some point he was crushed. He was a nice guy. Weeping

I always pictured you as a bunny missing half an ear. Bunnies eat grass. You should take festy's warning seriously, my bunny friend.
