A friend of mine has Lyme and she is having a hard time with it.
I ordered this [amazon.com]. It took two or three weeks to get here, but it was worth it. The two pics are only 3 days apart I think, and by my 5th drop of teasel, the swelling was gone. There's plenty on the internet about its efficacy, but it basically pulls the disease out of your joints and bones where it holds on to evade antibiotics and puts the disease in to your bloodstream where your body can easily fight it off.
Day 1: one drop in warm water or tea in the morning
Day 2: one drop in the morning; one at night
Day 3: one drop in the morning; one at lunch; one at night
Day 4: two drops in the morning; two at lunch; two at night
Day 5: three drops in the morning; three at lunch; three at night
Keep this up as long as you need to.
They say don't take more than 15 in a day. I started with 2 at night, 3 the next morning, 3 at night, and now I'm on my 3rd day of it.

Do you know if it would help someone who's had Lyme for a while now?
This isn't a situation where she was just recently bit.

How recently? I've been trying to get rid of it for 6 months as of today. I've read other testimonials from people who have had it for years and this has helped them. A lot of them say to take it in conjunction with antibiotics, but i wanted to wait and see how it did on it's own before getting on more. The cost of 500 tetracycline has gone up to 140 a bottle.
It's certainly worth a try.

When I was getting my Master's degree, I took a forrestry class. . .field trip in the woods, next day found a tick on me. Had blood work done. . .couldn't tell me yes or no. Treated me anyway. . .
Not so much. I mostly wrote humor pieces, and I'd written a typical "Incoming freshmen, beware" type article that was heavily edited. We "borrowed" the install discs for the layout software, my friend had a laser printer, and we snuck into the library to make copies, and distributed them liberally throughout the school.
Everyone knew it was me, but they had no way of proving it. I was just called into the principal's office and lectured about how things like this could start out as fun and end up harmful.
After that it became more of a literary art thing. It was fun sitting on the bus listening to people speculate about who'd written what pieces, because they were never right. It was basically all me and this one girl.

Most of my high school took place there. The first two semesters of 9th grade were in Utah.
