Yeah touched very briefly. All I know is that you'll be able to sync your spot across other iDevices, but not much more than that. I'm not sure what else it means other than instant streaming (which I also thought they already did..).

Right now, all of my digital movies have no real back-up by Apple, the way that they do for TV shows. The cloud would fix this.

Okay got more info on movies in the cloud.

iTunes Store movies will be available in 1080P.

Previously purchased movies will be able to be redownloaded in 1080P.

..and...that's it?

Oh..so it just says you can redownload them like you could tv shows, music, apps. Seriously..I don't know why they didn't allow this before.

Yes. Confirmed that you can redownload them from the cloud like TV shows. Sorry..I don't get my movies from iTunes, and I have only bought TV shows once or twice before, so I assumed it was the same for movies.

I think it was a "Hollywood" thing. They had to work it out with the movie industry.

Most of my movies are the free downloads that come with the blu-rays. It's great having the digital version available for traveling. Much better than Handbraking them before I head out to the airport.

Dzap, this isn't healthy competition. They control the market based on their bankroll, but competitors have no such leverage. Apple has no remorse for smaller companies trying to compete, just as they tried to compete with MS and failed back in the day. So now, all they do is sue smaller companies who don't have the bankroll to represent products that would actually compete in the marketplace.
