ML will be there too.

logistics will likely suck and things will go wrong, but Friday shouldn't be too bad, less people at the track in general. Bring comfortable shoes - it's over a mile from the shuttle bus drop off lot to the closest portion of the track, then the circuit itself is 3.4 miles, so it's a pretty big hike. Nearly everyone enters on the low side for the grand plaza near turn 15. Turn 1 is the highest point on the track, between T9 and T10 is the second highest point.
if you know someone not using their Friday tickets, I have a coworker that would be interested in going just for Friday.
have I mentioned that I'm completely stoked for this race weekend

my tickets are for the turn 9 - 10 grandstands, which are on the left. near as I can tell, that looks like i'll have great site lines for turns 8 to 12 as a minimum, which means i'll see two of the track's three overtaking points
"We detected between six to seven entry points through which dogs or other stray animals were able to intrude on the circuit," Askari Zaidi told the BBC.
"These points have been completely sealed off, while fencing around the circuit has now got two layers. In addition there will be a few teams of dog catchers around the circuit."

I don't think they would kill the dogs, since they're Hindu, the people, not the dogs.

the real madness starts tomorrow when the fans start flying in and the parties start. lots of good coverage on the local paper, at least:

don't mind all the haters in the comments, lots of mis-information going on
Wish we were going to be there but with all the problems with building the track and not knowing if it would really happen, and add to that a sick kitty who needs daily meds, we just couldn't justify spending the money on flights and vet care. Oh well, next year we'll be there.

Not the best photo of the day, but I do like that I caught Grosjean being angry with the HRT

I watched a few minutes of the practice, need to restart it before DH gets home. The track looks amazing.
With your foot problems you should inquire if they have a cart that can take you to that bleacher area. You don't want to wind up not being able to walk at all on race day because you did too much the first two days.

we have a view from the apex of turn 6 to the entry to turn 12, essentially all of sector 2. We can even see some of the stadium section back towards turn 15
I'll see if I can cut down on the walking tomorrow, I do need to pace myself
and a Hamilton shot for you, ZM:

still seems a little weird to see Verizon plastered all over the McClaren car and the suits
