RETIRED: Marlboro Outwit the West Funny Farm

228 92 October 16, 2010 at 01:35 PM
Hi all,

I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.

Everyone is welcome!

I was thinking that maybe it would be helpful to keep the original thread to a bit more of a serious discussion of the clues and answers.

This would make the original thread more useful to those seeking serious information and clues without having to read through hundreds of extraneous messages.

So, I hope it catches on !

So pop a beer and pull up a chair and relax !

Yer funny. And I agree they use the term 'Yacht' a little losely LOL. A Dingy Club LMAO. Although the one I had fit your description. Here's a link with pictures to one just like it. http://www.yachtworld.com/boats/1...ted-States A 'Dingy Club' LOL. Too funny, Thanks
Pretty nice. We kinda had one similar when I was a kid in Fla.But it didnt have the back fin thing. The dock we kept it at moved it one day to a spot meant for bigger boast and when low tide hit it went down with the water but when high tide came back in it got trapped under the dock and water came up over it. My dad was so mad. They refused to pay for the damages so my dad gave it to the local boys club and took it as a tax write off. I wanted another one cause my favorite restaurant for my Birthday dinner was at Pirates cove and a boat was the only way to get there but then they put in a bridge so it all worked out. I did miss going down there and watching the sunset though

I have a problem Im not sure what to do about. I was so stupid. I know I cant have peanuts but I can eat peanut butter. Someone told me that if you have a peant allergy you can eat tree nuts so I ate 1/4 cup of almonds. BIG mistake. Woke up this morning wheezing, throught is constricted but I can breath but if I get up and move around I can only take 4 steps before I start gasping for air and then start coughing and come close to passing out. Apparently I cant have almonds either!!! Had cashews about a month ago on cashew chicken and was fine. My bronchials feel like I have fluid building up in them. I dont have an epipen since its not that bad of an allergy. Dont have clariten or anything. Does anyone know what I can do to get the swelling in my throught to go down?? Its not bad enough to go to the ER for but Im worried about all the fluid in my bronchials going down into my lungs or causing bronchitis. Dont want to get sick. Im new to all this allergic reaction stuff and have only been allergic to manual labor before!!!

The mayo clinic says:
The only way to prevent a reaction is to avoid peanuts and peanut products altogether. But peanuts are common, and despite your best efforts, you're likely to come into contact with peanuts at some point.
•For a minor allergic reaction, over-the-counter or prescribed antihistamines may help reduce symptoms. These drugs can be taken after exposure to peanuts to help relieve itching or hives. However, antihistamines aren't enough to treat a severe allergic reaction.
•For a severe allergic reaction, you may need an emergency injection of epinephrine and a trip to the emergency room. Many people with allergies carry an epinephrine autoinjector (EpiPen, EpiPen Jr or Twinject). This device is a combined syringe and concealed needle that injects a single dose of medication when pressed against your thigh

Hope it eases up soon for you, but don't let it go too far if you're not feeling relief soon
