Hi all,

I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.

Everyone is welcome!

I was thinking that maybe it would be helpful to keep the original thread to a bit more of a serious discussion of the clues and answers.

This would make the original thread more useful to those seeking serious information and clues without having to read through hundreds of extraneous messages.

You want to know the real problem with deer? Even the ones that get all the publicity at Christmas time? Well, I'm going to tell you the problem, even though I fully realize that you didn't ask me to. The real problem is that every time I see a Bambi wannabe, I think about my sister's justifiably famous venison cutlets.drool Her husband would do his hunting number and she'd make those for the family and even now I drool thinking about it. And yes, I feel just a little guilty because they really are lovely animals -- from a distance at least. I've never gotten up close and personal with a deer that wasn't already a cutlet.drool

We have to many here now. They keep extending the hunting season and selling extra license. With the mild winters they are going crazy so many they are coming into town. Love venison the way my little brother cooks it. Trick is get all the tallow off. That is what gives it the wild taste I don't like. And he makes venison Jerky which is awesome!

never had deer meat done good enough for me to enjoy.. so I have to pass..these ones will come within 5 feet of ya.. it is amazing their camouflage.. I've walked right by em.. never saw em.. they have even fooled the dog..

they are over populated here as well.. but they do use the meat.. at least some good comes from thinning the herd..
