RETIRED: Marlboro Outwit the West Funny Farm

About a week ago I received my Wonka skateboard from the Freeride sweeps. When I opened the box it was not the design I signed off on but a design that I had been playing around with on the computer. Also noticed the design was a big sticker and that the edges were peeling back on it and you could see a different design underneath that was all sanded down. So I emailed them and they checked the confirmation email and said I got the wrong board and they were going to send out the correct design. (The Wonka Design) not only did I receive the new board today with a painted bottom but it also had a serial number on it. Much nicer then the sticker design and they told me I could keep the first one for my troubles. 2 for 1 you know the squeaky wheel always gets the oil. Not sure if anyone else is designing a board but I think a week or so ago, somebody and I can't remember who asked a question about design. I would be careful of the home made design it may not fit correctly on the board after they cut it to size. Just some friendly info if someone can use it. Cheers

Apparently Young America left several messages on our answering machine, which I seldom check. I just sorted it all out over the phone. Scanned the page and e-mailed it to them, so now they are going to send me a check.

I've been sick with the flu for five days...missed every day of WOK. I truly thought I was going to die for a couple days. I didn't know the flu could last that long. Hubby made some chicken noodle soup. My world is finally getting better.

One reason I haven't been on much is that my mom is very ill. What started out in Jan as "bad numbers" on a regular check up turned into a failing kidney with a possible tumor blocking it. Finally they know that the tumor is in the ureter and is malignant. She is scheduled for surgery this Thursday in the Woodlands (near Houston) and will have the kidney and tumor removed. I am very worried, the cancer is said to look "angry". I am praying the cancer is contained inside the ureter and has not spread, your prayers would be very appreciated. Thank you!

I Drive to Jem Tues. Night and stay there. We drive to Jaks Wens. and stay there and then the 3 of us drive to Goldies on Thursday. Then Our Weekend and we start the same trip back on Sunday. I should get home Tuesday the 24th.

Dr says most of my problems are from my parathyroid not working right for a very long time. Other Drs had the same test results but it pays to go to a specialist!!! The clue was the low calcium even though Im taking tons of it!!! The parathyroid regulates calcium absorption and Im on 50.000iu of vitamin D to make it work right again. If that doesnt work then that means I have a tumor and is easily fixable by a little jolt so either way Im on my way to getting better.
My red blood cells are deformed because of it also and even though I get alot of iron my body isnt able to do anything with it because my cells are stupid!! at the least they are deformed. Vitamin D..... who knew such a simple cure would be all I need. This is also what was causing my kidneys not to function right. Kind of a trickle down effect. If one thing isnt right it causes a problem that leads to another problem and so on. The swelling in my legs was the only symptom my other Drs were paying attention to but without getting to the start of it all it would have continued to happen.
Oh, by the way.... If I get goofy its cause they put me on speed!!!! WooHoo!!! Maybe now I can get more work done!!! Yeah right!!! lol

The gummy vitamins ship fast! I got my bottle in the mail today. They remind me of the shapes of ju-ju-be candies & they are blackberry, orange, and cherry. I just munched on a berry one & it was pretty tasty!! Much better than I expected. Much better tasting that that horrible years worth of fruit snacks that were so horrible. I think you'll like what they send you for the adult gummy vitamins! I was happy to see Jules won that one, too, because I think she likes gummy bears & these have an even better flavor than those! I'll let you know if the vitamins perk me up after a dreadful couple weeks of stressful days/weekends on the job . nah... that would be too much to expect from even a miracle product!
