RETIRED: Marlboro Outwit the West Funny Farm

228 92 October 16, 2010 at 01:35 PM
Hi all,

I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.

Everyone is welcome!

I was thinking that maybe it would be helpful to keep the original thread to a bit more of a serious discussion of the clues and answers.

This would make the original thread more useful to those seeking serious information and clues without having to read through hundreds of extraneous messages.

So, I hope it catches on !

So pop a beer and pull up a chair and relax !

Got the deck off today(with help), took it to mower man, and he replaced the shaft/bearing part?? and sharpened my blades for me. Just finished front yard, she's good to go.

my daughter found us a great mower man, her flywheel is fixed, new starter(i stole hers), cleaned it up, fixed a wire, $85.

We're both happy.

For anyone who hasn't checked out this contest yet:

Office Depot Racing May 14 for 14 Sweepstakes - 5/14/12
http://www.officedepotracing.com/...4-Contest/

Age of majority, US, one entry per person/email address. Ends May 14, 2012 @ 11:59pm ET

Prize: (14 winners) Office Depot Racing photo autographed by Tony Stewart and a lug nut from the car of Tony Stewart (ARV $3.89)

The only good part is that it's a single entry. Some of these things are just soooooo strange.

Was that for a new starter ? or a good used one ? My snow blower wont start with the starter, haven't looked at it yet so I don't know if it's the switch or the starter..... I'm hoping it's just the switch.... (( if ya pry open the plastic housing, the switch itself is the same as used on Kenmore dryer doors)) Big Grin and a lot cheaper !!!

Hubby got an e-mail yesterday from Pantry Pointers and Prep (Avocados from Mexico) that he won a cookbook and had to respond within 48 hours. I felt lucky he was able to snag it, because he goes days sometimes without checking the contest e-mails.

It's all good...
A few months ago, I missed out on my Cafe Escapes win with the Birchbox prize, because I did not click on the link in the e-mail in time. I posted on their facebook wall, and they found my win, but I blew it because I did not respond in time. For some reason, you did not get your win either, but I advised you to post on their facebook wall, and they gave you the prize.
Today I got this in my facebook messages:
We are happy to let you know that we have some more codes for Birchbox subscriptions, and you are first on our list to get one!
You will receive a 1-year subscription to Birchbox, a monthly delivery of luxury beauty samples. This prize has an approximate retail value of $110. Please visit the following website and enter your gift code to redeem.
We hope you are as excited as we are about your first, exclusive Birchbox kit!
Congratulations again and thank you for being a fan of Cafe Escapes!
Congrats!! bounce You'll love it. I got the first box and then I got that very same email before I got the 2nd box. Make certain to redeem Smilie Congrats to hubby on cookbook!

I didn't specifically ask Candi when she told me the price and what all he did, but I would imagine a used starter.

Speaking of snowblowers,, a friend of mine got a snowblower given to him a few weeks back 'cause it "wouldn't start". A rebuild kit for the carb and a new plug... starts on first pull now Smilie
