I've been wanting resin Adirondack chairs for years because the cheap Target plastic ones are, well, just damn cheap. And my wood ones fall apart within 2 years, even when I weather proof them.

Today I finally found some I can afford. Costco has the Lifetime Adirondack in a sandy wood color for $109. Retail on these bad boys is $171-250. They are similar to the popular Polywood brand (minimum $299 a pop) in that they are made from polystyrene plastic with UV protection. Polywood is the "brand" name but this is a great alternative. The color was very nice: didn't look too wood fake. Reviews are all excellent. These are B&M as I didn't find them on the Costco website. For reference:

$171 at Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/LifeTime-60...B0055FSKQ6

$199 at Lifetime: http://www.buylifetime.com/produc...eGoogleKW=

From the Lifetime website: "The Lifetime Adirondack Chair is constructed of UV-protected polystryrene so it's weather resistant and will look as good as new throughout many years of outdoor lounging. Get the warmth and charm of a wooden adirondack chair without the splitting, splintering, or maintenance."

Are these assembled? If so, I couldn't carry more than one at a time in my car (Camry)

Thanks! I've been looking for adirondack chairs. I wanted to get cedar ones, but the wood alone to build them i priced out at close to $100. Also nice ones like these are at least $200 near me. There are $40 ones at lowes, but they felt like they were going to break just getting them off the shelf. I actually prefer the composite ones because they can stay outside forever with no worries.

I just went to costco and bought 4 of them after seeing this! I've put 3 together and they are very sturdy!! (I'm a big guy).

Color is a little lighter than it looks on the box, but I actually prefer it. Picture attached.

Dude. Those look awesome around the fire pit. I swear I think I'm going to have to go back for two more so I can do that on my pool deck.

Are you sitting on it commando? A local park has these out in bald sun and they've never seemed hot to me. Of course, I was wearing clothes.

I saw these a few weeks ago at Costco and didn't realize what good prize it was. I thought they were really nice. They look good in the picture btw.

I like that you can put drinks on the arm rests. I just wished the recline was adjustable, I passed them up cause I want some chairs that are.

Yeah. I see what you mean. I will say that my reclining adirondacks usually stayed in the upright position. The one downside to these Costco ones is that there's no ottoman. I'd love to put my feet up. Nevertheless today I went back for two more and have them lined up on my pool deck. They look excellent. I don't think I could find a crappy wood one for under this price.

Bought four of these & couldn't be happier. All stainless steel hardware, sturdy construction and wide armrests. I've been looking at similar chairs (like http://www.dutchcrafters.com/Amis...air/p/6389) and this seems to have a great value. Thanks Costco.

I have seen them at the two locations I frequent -- Leesburg VA and Sterling VA.
