Hi all,

I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.

Everyone is welcome!

I was thinking that maybe it would be helpful to keep the original thread to a bit more of a serious discussion of the clues and answers.

This would make the original thread more useful to those seeking serious information and clues without having to read through hundreds of extraneous messages.

I'm in safe mode..... can't get to bookmarks in IE. Chrome seems ok but I don't have all the bookmarks as I do in IE. The only way I can get to email is to search the login page and manually log in.

Kim worked on it last night for 3 hrs. She finally got it to reboot in safe,, something I couldn't get it to do. She deals with this stuff at work all the time and says this one is nasty !! Actually she just called... it's not in safe mode. She did get the virus out and managed to save/restore everthing except the bookmarks. I think they are still there, somewhere tho... I just tried to bookmark Panasonic and it comes up as "already exists"

yep, Same thing mine would do. I heard rumor of it being a registry blocking thing too. I bet ya end up reformating. Since my HD is partitioned with xp & 7 and I was on xp at the time, I don't think he had to reformat 7

yup, she had to get into the registry to get it out ! I've been going thru my history to find all the sweeps, found most, but what a pita !
