RETIRED Marlboro Outwit the West Funny Farm

228 92 October 16, 2010 at 01:35 PM
Hi all,

I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.

Everyone is welcome!

I was thinking that maybe it would be helpful to keep the original thread to a bit more of a serious discussion of the clues and answers.

This would make the original thread more useful to those seeking serious information and clues without having to read through hundreds of extraneous messages.

So, I hope it catches on !

So pop a beer and pull up a chair and relax !

You either cover them with screen or what i used to do was hang the plastic bags around the garden I know it works for deer etc. the noise of the bags waving scares them off. Not real sure if it works for rabbits.
i'll have to try the plastic bag one-haven't tried that yet

Fence off your flower garden for the best defense against rabbits. The fence only needs to be two feet tall. Check it frequently to ensure that it stays intact and no neighborhood critters have dug under it, allowing access for the rabbits.

Sprinkle bloodmeal, available at your local gardening center, on the soil around the plants. The smell will deter all but the hungriest rabbits. Reapply every few months as needed.

Apply cayenne pepper directly to the plant leaves. The rabbits will most likely find a new place to forage, but you may need to reapply if they return in a few weeks.

Plant onions throughout your flower beds because rabbits do not like the smell.

Thats all folks............
I have onions planted on one side and carrots on the other-doesn't work. Will have to try the bloodmeal and the plastic bag one too

Mail Call: This is weird I just got a Robitussin Umbrella in the mail from the acts of relief game. I never won that I wanted one but never hit on it I won the blanket and hat and got those along time ago. I'm guessing they had second chance drawings for any unclaimed prizes. Happy surprise for me. Also, got my May Birchbox.
Good for you! Smilie

For sure Dabs! I had them transfer mine right into the bank and it came right through. Funny though- even the affadavit papers you had to send back still said "potential winner". That's why I waited until the moolah was in the bank!nod
Sure glad you got it, Belle! hug

Yuk
I'm never ungrateful for a win, but just in case you are entering the Idaho Spuds contest...

I got a 2nd prize last night. How exciting, huh?! Until you wake up & realize that it is a box of potato flake stuff in a box from Walmart Just in case there are others here that prefer making real potatoes, just wanted to point out that this IWG might not be something to spend your time on. I'll try it (maybe!) & let you know if this new product is any good or as horrible as any other "dehydrated potato in a box" product. I tried one once a couple years ago & threw it away.
Congrats anyway, and the reusable bag is nice. Smilie

Any suggestions on how to keep rabbits out of my garden-they're eating my green beans. All I have is stalks sticking up-they ate all the leaves off of them. Help!
Take my dogs for a weekend. The rabbits will never be the same and never return. EEK! Can you put up some kind of netting around them to keep them out?
