Hi Blondeey, I can't say if your dove will come back, but touching the eggs won't be what stops her.
I used to be into bluebirding , I've had to change nests with babies in them , I moved a nestbox to a slightly different location with eggs in it, and the parents come back.

Everyone should give a big shout out to Cindy for her generosity. We won a $50 GC to Mazzios which she gave to some needy people and here is the note she sent me.

WooHoo!!! The kids are gonna be happy!! I gave them my DVD collection of Harry Potter and a bunch of scary movies and they ate Pizza and had fun!!! Thanks. The kids Im giving them to have had a rough time the past few years. Their mom had brain surgery and had complications and their dad had to quit work and take care of her and the kids so they have had no money for anything extra. Shes doing well enough now so he has gone back to work t his dads lumber yard but they are still just getting back on their feet.

Sorry you had to cut it down. I know it meant alot to you but it will come back and might even be bushier than before. If you use a wood trellis back it up with a good sturdy metal one or use some of the new durable materials. Wood rots so bad and the stuff to make it last is harsh on plants. I bought a blue jacaranda?? and something called a mailbox vine wanting to cover the rock wall on the property line to make it pretty. Theres a chain link fence on top of it so my grandma used to tie her climbing roses to it using coat hangers and wire real loosely and they lasted 50 years til the crazy old lady bought the house and took out every flower!!! A little passive aggressive!!! She did it as a way to have the final jab at her mom. I call her the crazy old lady cause she kinda is now but she has mental issues. Shes really smart but thinks the world is out to get her mixed with manic depressive episodes. When shes really high and energized she goes overboard and likes people but then she crashes and tries to destroy them before they can get her! We like her in the middle but its hard to keep her there!! She was in a come near death about 10 years ago from something with her liver and a virus and she got really dingy when she came out of it. Now I can stand to be around her. Every surgery she has had since has made her even loopier!! Now shes fun to mess with!!! Last time she had surgery we really messed with her!!! Put a sale price on the tag attached to her oxygen tube!!! Told her the nurse did it!!! Told her the surgery went well ans she can now live her life as a man!!! and the one that got her the most...... Sorry mom, they removed the wrong breast. They are coming right now to go back and take the other one!!! Just then the nurse came back in!!! She was having problems talking so I asked the nurse if there was an option to not have all the pain killers!!! Mom about hit the roof!!!! She loves her pain meds!!! All she remembers of that hospital stay was that I came to see her!!! No one else... just me!!!

When I was 12 I thought my grandma needed a pet. She loved her birds and I saw a humming bird that was so beautiful that I wanted to catch him for her. I walked up to it and held out my hand and just closed it around him. My grandma freaked out and thought I killed it!!! She was so sad and explained that she did love birds but she loved watching them in her yard not in her house so we took it outside and laid it in the trumpet vine where I caught it so it could die where it loved. It jumped up and flew in front of my face then went to her face and then flew off. Every day a hummingbird would come and follow her around the yard as she watered her plants and flowers. Every year when they came back there were more and more with it like a little family coming to see her til she died. Now I see one every now and then. Ive planted a trumpet vine in the back and just bought a real pretty humming bird feeder and Im seeing more daily. Every time I see one I think of my grandma. That became something special between us. Glad I didnt take her a bee!!! I was always good at catching those to. I always got a kick out of seeing peoples faces when I show them that a bee wont sting you unless it thinks your gonna hurt it.

Dammit !!!!!!!! I was on the phone with an important call when the doorbell rang. Untill I ended the call and got to the door my dog destroyed another set of mini-blinds and the UPS guy was just driving away !!!!! I got something I have to sign for,,, hope it's worth more than the blinds

I try to "harvest" my lavender plants every other day to put in vases. If I dont do it the right time I lost them and their scent all year. there are so many bees and they share with me. Hope they do not get me one day but they are always always there in the plants.

My birds are eating me out of house and home. I have 8 seed feeders and have to fill them every other day I have 2 pair of doves, several cardinals, lots of purple finches, and the pretty yellow goldfinches, bluebirds(not as many),blackbirds-different kinds, and sometimes those beautiful indigo buntings! Also have some hummingbird feeders-ruby throated hbirds come to the window where we put those feeders. Last week one got in my garage and got stuck hanging upside down in a thick cobweb. I got on a ladder and got him. He couldnt move he was so covered..he let me clean him off and rested on my hand about 10 seconds or so then decided to fly off...kind of slow but I think he made it. Was so cool holding him! So tiny! Have 1 blue heron that comes daily to fish. He is so big with those long stick legs. Stays right there when we are fishing too. So majestic when he flies off. Out front we have 2 very large red tail hawks. They are beautiful. I just love animals! God's creation is just so amazing

I have no way of knowing if my codes go along when I share.
