Hi all,

I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.

I was thinking that maybe it would be helpful to keep the original thread to a bit more of a serious discussion of the clues and answers.

This would make the original thread more useful to those seeking serious information and clues without having to read through hundreds of extraneous messages.

It's gonna be 105 here today EEK! Just had to let the dog in he was so hot. Yeah the heat last year took a toll on our trees, got a big limb hanging down but still hanging on by a thread. Lotta work taking care of those trees. Wonder how many more will fall.

LMAO There are limits! MY dog is an outside dog, but he's old and not looking so good so I let him in during extreme temps (and during thunderstorms, otherwise he'll chew and claw his way in!), he won't come in unless he's miserable though.

Mine was a 60' tall and 35' wide Pine tree planted next to the house

That was a big one! Bet there is a big bare spot. Must have been a very old tree.

It was dieing and dropping needles everywhere. The dead needles under it were about a foot & 1/2 deep. Also had to dig up the roots as they were coming up all over the yard.

wow, I would trade anything for some sunshine right now, I don't know if anyone here has seen the weather channel today but Jim Cantore is in Live Oak, Florida right now, I live about 20 miles from there, we had to evacuate this morning, my daughter-in-law called at 6:00 this morning and said they had to evacuate, I told them to come to our house, hung up the phone, went to let our dog out and couldn't see anything but water, right up to our front door, we have lived here for over 20 years, and have never seen anything like this, the water was coming up so fast, I threw a few clothes in a bag and we left, we're at a motel right now and have no idea when we can go back home or what we'll find when we get there. EEK!
