I was at Costco yest (1600 Expo Parkway,Sacramento, CA) yesterday and bought 4 Johnnie Walker Blue Label for $119.99 each.
There is no limit, you can buy as many as you want.
This deal ends 06/08 i.e., tomorrow.
Regular price(146.99) - Instant Rebate at Checkout($27) = $119.99 + Tax.
Regularly, I pay $150 Cash at a liquor store for this. This is a good deal if you like Blue Label.
I might go today again and stock some more.
Cheers!

So after reading this thread I am now debating about buying a Lagavulin 16yr or a Dalwhinnie 15yr. I have 0 experience drinking scotch....would the Lagavulin be too much for a starter?
Will stop by Costco to pickup couple bottles, makes a great birthday present.
Didn't see any discount on the blue label, still priced at $149.99 at City of Industry, CA Costco. Saved $239.98 + tax.
But did scored a Lagavulin 16 years for $51.99 + tax, this price is good 'til 6/30. BevMo is selling it for $74.99. Never tried it, if good I'll be going back for more
Both are fantastic although quite different flavors.
The end cap is a whiskey special and they have bourbons and whiskies they don't usually carry.
JW Blue is the most overrated drink next to Cristal.
actually the lagavulin has been on sale for around $53 for a month or so and the oban for $40ish. for $119 why not get yourself a bottle of lagavulin for $53, a bottle of chivas 18 for $40ish and a 12 year old pultney for $27
i know this is about scotch which i like. if you like scotch, you may also like bourbon. in that case, pick up a bottle of Booker's. High proof. vibrant.

Those are some excellent prices...and a much better use of $119 than JWB.

Hard to say if it would be too much...but it's definitely harder on a beginner's palate. Certainly not saying you can't handle it...but it would be a shame if it was responsible for driving you away from single malts. If you can spare $100, why not get both? They will last a long time and you can start with the Dalwhinnie and work your way up. I've got both in my collection.
How much do you guys pay for the yamakazi 18? I can't seem to find it for less than $115. I feel like it used to go for ~$100...should have bought a bottle earlier.
i picked up a bottle of blue label from airport in Puerto Rico on a business trip for $120 as well
thats the cheapest price ive found from a duty free
this costco deal is rock bottom for blue label too
id have to say, it is smooth but i still like a single malt more
and now that they have the double black stuff, id rather spend my money there and have some peaty fun with that

Hey don't forget good Irish Whiskeys! Midelton is excellent for special occasions(pick a year, any year), incredibly complex and enjoyable, especially while enjoying a good cigar, and a couple of the Jameson one offs like special reserve (I think I got that from the Jameson distillery in Ireland, not sure you can get that anywhere else), or just for casual got home from work, even regular old Jameson is pretty good. I like my scotches too, I enjoy Islay or Jura Malts, and Doublewood is good too (Glen Morangie I think?). I have about 30 or so single malts I have picked up over the years (in addition to the "standard" on every shelf scotches like Livet, Fiddich, etc.), and when geting hoem from work if I grab a scotch while I am going through mail / email, 80% of the time I just grab one of the usual suspects, all of the odd single malts or Irish Whiskeys I have picked up I save for special occasions, and at the rate I have those, I will die with about 30 bottles of unopened scotch .
