Cross-back sundress [victoriassecret.com], 6 - I was VERY excited about this dress and had been eyeing it since it came out. I was so disappointed though. The quality seemed very good and I loved it in the teal color, but the fit was off. The straps were too short for me, so it brought the waist up right to the bottom of my bust and then I couldn't zipper it all the way. If I can get an amazing deal down the road, I may try it in an 8, but I think it would be much more flattering if the waist fell quite a bit lower.

Tie-back bra top dress [victoriassecret.com], M - I decided to try this after reading a positive review and I'm glad I did. It fits very well and is flattering as well. The fabric is so comfortable too. It feels like a modal blend. I could get away without a bra with it too (being 34DD-ish I rarely say that), even though I will probably use a Nubra. I love the length too. I've been having a lot of trouble with dresses being too short, but this comes to about an inch above my knees. Only minor complaint is the seam on the side, because of the built-in bra and the ties, isn't straight so from the side it kind of looks like it's laced too tight or unevenly.

isn't this [express.com] the same dress, just named differently? that's the one that i tried - the top was too flowy for me. i would prob need xs, tho i do remember the skirt being pretty fitted. i think i'd need alvs' boobs to fit the s.

i had no idea they put that dress on clearance! that was how i felt about that dress as well - that the waist was too high. sizing up definitely helped because the straps are longer. i'm usually 2-4 but i'm considering a 6 in that dress so that i wouldn't have that high waist problem. if you search the last thread, i posted pics of me in the teal. i tried the 2 and 4 - i could zip both, but the 4 was overall bigger (but not loose) and the straps were way longer. the 2 was such a weird fit - too snug and the waist was about right under the boobs like you said.

the weird thing was, the teal had no lining, but the yellow had lining so it felt like a better dress bc of the double layers. i'm sure it has something to do with being see-thru. i ordered the dress again bc i just love the open back so much.

Sorry to hear about that dress not fitting well. I think they could've have done a lot better with that dress overall. Like making it lined for such an expensive dress. Perhaps doing something about the straps since it's too long on me. I kept mine figuring I can always pin the straps in.

Your pictures definitely helped fuel the flames in my obsession with that dress! If they drop the price again, I will try it in a larger size. It also looks like altering it is within my skill level, so if it ends up too big in the waist I'm not too worried if the price is right. I still love the overall look, so I'm not giving up hope on this dress yet.

you will be fine in a 2 - the waist wasn't really that much smaller but the straps were considerably shorter for me. i kinda think that they didn't bother changing the width much but just lengthened/shortened the straps for sizing. laugh out loud i fit a 4 and am going to try the 6 to see if the straps are longer, but i was able to zip up the 2 as well. the straps were just too short.

that does look like the same dress. i tried on the black and i don't remember having any issues with its fit.

got 2 packages from the first night the certs were working. 1 came with a cert, the other didn't.

but now that they're back to 1 per acct, they're not as good... again. Sadwalk hopefully vs will fix it, again!

i tested it yesterday and it seemed to apply? i didn't go thru w/ check out tho. but i've only made 1 order so far. so are you saying that at most you can make 2 orders w/ the certs? assuming you made 1 before they "fixed" their site?

I can only make one per account now after the fix. I was able to place a few before it. So if you've used a cert you can still use another (unless you used it after the fix yesterday).

That's the best I can figure through my experience wolfie.
