You can wear a 4 short at 5'6"? I'm only 5'1 1/2" & 2 short works for me. I would have thought you'd need a regular. It's really strange that those were too long for you.

thanks - i will rethink the whole maxi-while-travelling idea then. did they actually tell you it was because of your dress? (what are they afraid of, you strapping something to your leg?)

i just got a $20 reward yesterday. i've been doing lots of returns too... not sure what happened.

I wish they had more of these promotions in the store. I like going into the store and picking out what I want and checking out with a freebie.

On the upside, I checked my e-mail, and for the last two years, there has been a VIB weekend the first weekend of August where they gave out a bag/hatbox with 7 minis. Fingers crossed for that happening again! I feel like i haven't bought much from sephora in a while.

On the browser thing, I recently figured out that in Firefox, I can't edit my cart or do an item # search. I can in Safari (Apple-based browser). That website is so sucky... must cost them a ton of $$$ in lost sales.

Actually, yes. I think this is the reason. I've flown with a maxi skirt before. Super comfy, etc..got patted down from the crotch to the ankles on 3 of the 4 airports I flew in and out of on one trip. LAX, SEA, PDX, except ONT. ONT seems to be really lax. Eh, never again. I'd rather fly though security than being stopped. Also started wearing tighter jeans. Got padded down on regular bootcut jeans before - wtf..?

yeah... that sucks. but i can see why it can be of concern. i'm glad i chose to wear shorts on my flights to/from vegas. that makes it really easy for them! (tho we all still had to be scanned, and they PATTED MY HEAD after that scanner thing. laugh out loud i do have a large head...)

i know, super scary. tho, it sounds like he planned it ahead of time and was very smart (had a degree in neuroscience). so hopefully nothing else like this will happen bc of the planning involved. i would hope that security would be looking for copycats and they'd catch them before anything happens.

I got UD's smoked palette. For those interested locally, call Brea Mall. They have it in the back and not on display yet. The SA was so excited she opened up my eyeshadow!! Mad

I'm not sure it's worth $49, it was put together haphazardly and has a paper bottom. There was eyeshadow smeared on the side and some finger prints like the Naked palettes. I figured packaging would be of Naked quality. Glad it was on store credit.

Haven't used the colors yet, but they look nice Smilie

i got some express orders today
boatneck dress - size 4 fits like the striped ruched dress in 6 for me. i'm so cheap, i feel like $42 is still a lot, so i'm still undecided.
surplice dress - i waffled on this for a long time. i decided i'm not getting it. i ordered the s, and decided my bottom is not curvy enough for it. maybe i should have gotten a xs, but i'm afraid to grow out of my clothes too quickly.
stretch ruched lace dress [express.com] - just looks so wrong on me laugh out loud too ruched, too fitted. has great reviews, but it doesn't look like that on me, even just on the strap area. maybe i positioned the dress wrong on me, but i won't try anymore, as i'd have nowhere to wear it anyway.

i think that boatneck dress is pricey also. i like that it's so conservative tho, bc it'd be great for work. i feel like the skirt is a bit restricting tho - a problem i didn't have with the 4. however, the waist on the 2 fit better, and the top was a bit loose. i have a feeling this dress wasn't made for my type of body...

i agree with the stretch ruched dress. it didn't look so good on me either.
