Hi ladies. Any suggestions for a good eye cream? I have several problems--
1. I have very dry skin, but recently starting noticing how dry my eyelids feel
2. Dark circles, puffiness, fine lines

I was hoping i had Clinique to try from a bonus set but nada. So if I am going to buy, would love some help.
hmmm this is a difficult rec bc no eye cream will actually correct dark circles or inherent puffiness. i tried for a long time but nothing ever got rid of anything - it's humanly impossible. however, you can prevent fine lines from growing by keeping your eye area properly moisturized. i circle through a few eye creams bc none are amazing, but i like to use something as opposed to nothing. (one thing you can do to start is to use your unscented moisturizer - there's not usually a huge difference between face cream and eye cream, but your eyes are more sensitive so eye creams should always be unscented. they also shouldn't have salicylic acid. (there may be other stuff to avoid - i'm not sure)
i've used clinique all about eyes and all about eyes rich. they're both fine - rich is thicker but they perform pretty much the same imo. they're fine but not a must have - it's a nice light gel-texture not unlike moisture surge. if you want to use clinique i would start with all about eyes.
i've also used sample jars of bobbi brown eye cream and dr. brandt lineless eye cream. out of the two i prefer bobbi brown, but i can't really say why. i just do. laugh out loud it felt nicer on my skin. it keeps the eye area moisturized, which is about the only thing you can do to prevent lines and such.

laugh out loud glad i'm not the only one! it's annoying bc there was a time (3-4 years ago) that df had wedding after wedding to go to. i could not find enough dresses to wear to them. i even recycled a super old one. so after that, i started hoarding dresses, but apparently all his friends got married during that time, so now i have nowhere to wear these to. laugh out loud
i don't usually dress up to go out to dinner - i will have to start doing that!

i kinda want to wear one of those flowy backless dresses to the wedding this sat. it'll be in ny and hot and humid. i was originally planning on wearing this dress [polyvore.com] i got from limited back in jan. love the teal color and i think it's a perfect dress for a wedding. however i was probably about 5 lbs heavier when i bought it, so it's a tad bit loose on me now (just not as figure-hugging). then again, these new drapey backless dresses are a tad risque due to the open back, and they're also a tad big.
plus i'm not sure which i'm keeping yet. what to do?
Then I buy a new one for an event!

i see. i didn't know about this new product. review by the muse: muse [musingsofamuse.com]
it sounds to me like it's not a treatment as much as a concealer/treatment. like a bb cream for your eyes. laugh out loud it does the usual reflecting light away from the circles. caffeine really does help depuff tho - i use tea bags on my eyes if i've been crying. it helps.

Why not wear this to that wedding? It seems like it would be nice Smilie I personally find black so dark for weddings, but that's me. And I have a plethora of black dresses shake head

Dress up dinners are fun! Or plays, do you like going to the theatre? I always dress nice for that.

I think I started hoarding because I needed dresses for certain events and I didn't have any and always had to go out and buy something and ended up with subpar dresses. So now, I started hoarding and it's easier to shop in my closet than buy something I don't love to have something to wear.

did y'all know that discover is offering free next-day shipping on amazon right now? i think it's only on certain items (the code will be listed on those items i think) but i just got my much-needed double sided tape shipped to me next day for free! (my prime has just run out too, so i thought i was SOL but then i saw the discover code... saved me 21.17 in shipping fees laugh out loud)

FREE One-Day Shipping if you purchase this item using your Discover Card. Enter code DSCVRFSP at checkout. (you need to use discover to pay for your purchase, i think. i didn't try a different card)
thanks! I feel like I always order on Amazon, and I used up my free Prime membership too.

yes, that is why i hoard too! except my tastes and size changes so i always end up needing something else. laugh out loud

you don't think the open back is too risque for a wedding? i thought that it might be, which is why i had decided on the teal/black colorblock one. also, it'll need ironing (already needs it) and i'll have to throw it into my carry on.

So do we just keep entering until we win something? If you get a gift card any idea if it can be combined? Are they different each day? Or we just keep rewatching them all?

I guess I'm lucky that my taste never really varies much laugh out loud

I think the open back dress is fine. I've seen people wear open back dresses WITH a low neckline at a wedding. Since the front is very conservative, I think you should be good to go! Smilie nod

i've seen it too. but i'm more conservative than some people, so i would think it might be a bit much, and disrespectful. but you're right - the front is conservative (on both dresses).

then again, it's not in a church. maybe i will wear a cardigan to cover it up, just in case. Scratchchin

do you think the teal is more wedding-appropriate than the blue or black one?

You can do every single video once every day until you win, but you can only win one time per phone number. Once you click on the video you can skip all the way to the end, you don't *actually* have to watch it. You can also stack up to 5 gift cards at once. They expire November 4th.

Back when Macys had this game through facebook I made so many FB accounts I won $2,000 in GC's laugh out loud (Not condoning cheating, just telling you you can enter many times Smilie )

I used to do that! Lately I've been hoarding more casual-style dresses a la Alvsy so they have a chance to see the light of day.

I've got the circles. Garnier has a caffeine eye roller for them- tinted and non . I can't recommend the tinted- while the color is good for medium-fair skin, it interferes with my makeup. Since the darkness is a collection of blood from vessels that become leaky as your body warms up (when you sleep), it pools under your eyes when you wake up. If I've got something important that day (photo ID pic/event), I get up and splash my face with cold water and follow that with some sort of cold compress to close up the vessels and keep the blood from pooling below my eyes in one spot. Fine lines- Dr. Oz recommends Collagen/Elastin from St. Ives and a Retin-A cream. I buy mine from Rite Aid (it's a Roc generic)- they make an eye- specific one too. I'm not terribly versed, but these are things I'm doing.
