What do you all think about these shoes for my 1920's flapper costume? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/...PDKIKX0DER They don't look like the shoes I've seen from the 20's, but they're called flapper shoes. Dontknow Do you think they'll work? I want to get cheap shoes, because I'll probably only wear them once. I wouldn't wear the shoe style I associate with the 20's more than once either.

Where do I find the thread that convinces me to not buy stuff I don't need? laugh out loud

I know we talked about this before, but anyone have a good home remedy for deep conditioning? If not, what product would you suggest? Myhair is getting quite long and it gets tangled and the dried out look after my salon 20-30 day deep conditioning treatment. Any tips would be awesome! Thanks!

I would think any sort of a 'mary jane' style pump would work for a flapper costume!
Thanks ladies.Smilie Payless has these shoes http://www.payless.com/store/prod...ame=Womens that would work, but they're so ugly. laugh out loud I want something that will fit the period, but is also pretty. Should I buy the first ones I linked or keep looking?

ETA: Honest opinions please. Please

I haven't placed any orders yet, but I see a few in my future. My wishlist is lengthy. Embarrassment

I can't answer the deep conditioning question, but I can tell you what has really helped me with tangles. My hair was getting excruciating to brush with all the tangles. I tried L'anza shampoo & conditioner http://www.folica.com/hair-care/s...am-shampoo http://www.folica.com/hair-care/h...ight-ounce & it has made a big difference with my hair. It doesn't tangle nearly as much as it did. I also bought the leave-in conditioner http://www.folica.com/hair-care/h...onditioner, but I rarely need it now.

It stinks, but it does work well. I had a friend who conditioned her hair with mayo frequently.

I went out on a boat without my hair pulled back in high school. My mom had to use mayo to get the tangles out. Conditioner didn't work.

The fabric doesn't look cheap? I really like that dress, but I was afraid it would look cheap.

Good to know. I'll order it, when it goes on sale again. You do know you're bad for my bank account, right?

I love those shoes! I don't know much about vintage style, but they'd probably be sufficient to fool most people. I would definitely wear them again. I'm actually trying to resist buying these [amazon.com], that were in the "also viewed" on that page.

Like many others said, coconut oil is awesome. It's kind of heavy for everyday, if your hair is fine. I use this [sallybeauty.com] on my ends. My hair is very long and tangles easily and that stuff is a miracle. There are a lot of similar products, but this is my favorite. It's cheap too, but if you try it, make sure you get the regular, because the olive oil version smells like burnt rubber.
