Gosh, I hope I can convince her to try them on before her sister is back! But she seemed to have made it clear she wanted all the bridesmaids with her for the dress try-ons. I just think that she doesn't really know what's all required and needs to be done for a wedding and probably won't hire a coordinator to help her through (wanting to be frugal). So I'm trying my best, even though I don't know what all needs to be done and I just have my little spreadsheet/checklist from my research that I've sent her to help her get started. So I definitely appreciate all the insight you're giving and what else I can pick up here and there from the thread Smilie nod

there are a bunch out there on the web, but here [weddingchannel.com] is a simple timeline/checklist. most of them start at least 12 months out. tbh they freaked me out kuz i felt like i was soooo behind, so i can say from personal experience that you don't need to follow those timelines sometimes. but it's a great guideline to let you know what needs to be done, and in what order. (tho, in our area, makeup artist should probably be the first thing to be booked.)

according to the list, trying on dresses is 6-9 months out. if she wants it to happen in april (assuming late april) she's only 8 months out now. she'd better get a move on~!

Got the BM dress back today. All ready to go, now just packing- we leave early afternoon later today. Turned out, seamstress' sister passed away Monday... 1 month almost to the day she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Insisted on doing the work anyway. Frown So sad.
