Also, I have a funny story about the wedding that I just went to. I really like this couple as well.

Background: My boyfriend and I have been together for about 2.5 years, and we're a really good couple. I don't really have much desire to get married while in school, and he knows this, so we're thinking things will work themselves out when the time comes.

Anyway, we went to the wedding of mutual friends this weekend, and they joke with us about getting married. When the bride did the bouquet toss, the DJ asked if there was a favorite. Both her and her husband said, "RED333" (but my real name of course). Everyone started laughing, and some people even left the floor. I was beat red. The DJ said that the groom was to spin the bride around and aim the bouquet in the direction of the "favorite."

She spun, set up to give me the bouquet, and then, just as I was catching it, this other girl threw me to the ground...like, literally. I had bruises on my knees, and because she ripped the thing from my hand, there were flowers all over the ground. I just sort of stood up, and the whole room was stunned...

The DJ, bride, and groom all look at me and say "DO OVER!" The DJ asks the girl who caught the bouquet if she wanted a redo, and of course she said no. The bride and groom both came up to me after, apologized, reassured me that I was the favorite, and that neither of them knew the girl who caught the bouquet!!! She was just some distant cousin's date who had never met them.

Amazing, no?

hmm i emailed express about the a-list bday gift that i never got. they sent me a replacement in the mail, but it can't be used online. it's a cert that says "$40 off one item" on one side and "happy birthday express next a-list" on the other. think i'll be able to use it with the tier? that would be pretty nice. it says limit one offer per customer.

You have to have the cc and be on the a list level. It may be called premier now. That gets you the $40 gift. I think regular cc customers get a lower bday reward. Not sure about just the next members without the cc.

I'm a BM for a wedding that also has royal purple for a the color of BM dresses. I'm out of state, so I probably won't have much say on the dresses, but if people see royal purple dresses, I'm also interested

This is basically the wedding of my favorite couple that I've ever known. They've been together almost 10 years. They knew each other in high school (but didn't date). Then, they started dating at the start of college, despite the fact that they were in different states, and stayed together the entire time with most of their relationship spent in different cities. They're two of the nicest people I know, and when they started dating, my whole group of high school friends was laughing and saying, "It better work out. If it doesn't they'll be too nice to break up with each other." The whole bridal party is our high school group and a new friend. Our group is still INCREDIBLY close. I've never been so excited for a wedding! Probably too much information, but I get so excited just thinking about it.

I also purchased this CONVERTIBLE SLEEVE COVER-UP SWEATER [express.com]. LOVE LOVE LOVE. I have it in XS. It's a good thickness for fall and lays right all over. I think this will be one of my favorites. When I did a search, I realized that they also have it in stripes...tempting!

I love cardigans like that! I was wondering, when you put the sleeves down, is it strange that a button is just kind of hanging around randomly? I'd want to be able to wear it with the sleeves down as well. Does it go all the way down?

I'm having trouble finding a filler item to hit the $30 mark. I might pick up some earrings or something!.

I know that in the past I wasn't able to stack the birthday with a tier. I presented both at the register and the lady said I can only use one and she took one to use on my purchase and didn't let me decide and when I left the store, it turned out to be the one that made me save less

So, if you can use both, that would be awesome! If not, prepare to split your purchase and/or come up with a new strategy to maximize savings.

Oh, I don't think it looks awkward at all. It's just a small black button. Also, lipglosses are $4.90 because they're 30% off. I actually really like their lipgloss in black cherry...but I know none of us probably need more lipgloss...

Thanks for the lip gloss rec! I love red, so that's a prefect rec! But of course I don't need anymore! I might just do that as a filler. Glad to know the button doesn't look weird on its own!
