i often wonder, if so many of us have small wrists, why there aren't more bracelets in our size. or why they don't make S, M, L for bracelets, like belts?

I also purchased this CONVERTIBLE SLEEVE COVER-UP SWEATER [express.com]. LOVE LOVE LOVE. I have it in XS. It's a good thickness for fall and lays right all over. I think this will be one of my favorites. When I did a search, I realized that they also have it in stripes...tempting!

I'm using Foot Petals for fillers. http://www.express.com/ball-of-fo...59185f6adc They're always handy to have around. Your feet may be tougher & used to heels though. Since I no longer wear them on a regular basis, the balls of my feet are very tender. W/o foot petals, I can't wear heels for long.

I love cardigans like that! I was wondering, when you put the sleeves down, is it strange that a button is just kind of hanging around randomly? I'd want to be able to wear it with the sleeves down as well. Does it go all the way down?

I know that in the past I wasn't able to stack the birthday with a tier. I presented both at the register and the lady said I can only use one and she took one to use on my purchase and didn't let me decide and when I left the store, it turned out to be the one that made me save less

So, if you can use both, that would be awesome! If not, prepare to split your purchase and/or come up with a new strategy to maximize savings.

I've wondered that too. That goes along with the mystery of why models are 6', when the avg. America woman is 5' 4", & why do so many stores sell clothes in one length that's too long for the avg. woman? VS is one of the worst. I've also noticed that their 34" jeans/pants are always the length on clearance for cheap. You'd think they'd get a clue.

Hm....great idea too! I like to keep my feet as soft as possible and as healthy as I can since I love wearing flip flops too. I usually use Dr. Scholl's with the gel cushion which also gives me arch support for my arches. I guess I don't pick good shoes with support or something. But they look so cute!

Hm...this is more useful...2 more bucks. I might do this instead.

i went with blue bc it miraculously came BIS in the size i needed. when i first ordered the 3 colors, they were 1 size too big. i also like the color the best, but it was really the size issue that determined this one.

For those who have been BM's, brides, brides to bes, I have some questions since I'm totally not familiar with this process.

Are BMs supposed to include the bride on email correspondence for planning the showers and bachelorette parties? I'd assume so, but I don't know if it should be more of planning off to the side and then telling her these are best 3 ideas or something?

Also - I figured that things like this should be worked backwards? Knowing date first and then planning said bridal showers and bachelorette parties? Am I wrong? Should things go with invitation making and such first?

My friend is very laid back and has not set anything in stone, just gave some online sites that have bridesmaid duties. So I'm not really sure where to start? I thought about sending an email to the BMs, but maybe that's too premature?

Also, I have a funny story about the wedding that I just went to. I really like this couple as well.

Background: My boyfriend and I have been together for about 2.5 years, and we're a really good couple. I don't really have much desire to get married while in school, and he knows this, so we're thinking things will work themselves out when the time comes.

Anyway, we went to the wedding of mutual friends this weekend, and they joke with us about getting married. When the bride did the bouquet toss, the DJ asked if there was a favorite. Both her and her husband said, "RED333" (but my real name of course). Everyone started laughing, and some people even left the floor. I was beat red. The DJ said that the groom was to spin the bride around and aim the bouquet in the direction of the "favorite."

She spun, set up to give me the bouquet, and then, just as I was catching it, this other girl threw me to the ground...like, literally. I had bruises on my knees, and because she ripped the thing from my hand, there were flowers all over the ground. I just sort of stood up, and the whole room was stunned...

The DJ, bride, and groom all look at me and say "DO OVER!" The DJ asks the girl who caught the bouquet if she wanted a redo, and of course she said no. The bride and groom both came up to me after, apologized, reassured me that I was the favorite, and that neither of them knew the girl who caught the bouquet!!! She was just some distant cousin's date who had never met them.

Amazing, no?

I went to a bachelorette party where everyone paid their own way. I was invited to another one in the beginning of summer that was the same way. Both had a party bus that was just split among the guests. I thought that was fine. I mean, it wasn't that much, like $30-$50 each, but it would have been a ton of money if the BM's had to pick it all up. Each party had over 20 people, which I hear is big for a bachelorette party.

Yea, I didn't know the girl who threw me down..but I didn't know a lot of the other family members at the wedding, either. Many people were from out of state. There were so many of our friends there that the friends just sort of stuck together. Of the remaining people, I didn't know who was a "family member", "friend," or "date." However, I didn't realize that the bride and groom didn't know that girl either! I thought it was pretty gutsy for the bride and groom to even ask for a redo, considering most people in MN aren't really like that. Crazy....

Umm, is this cultural? There is nothing formal that we do. The bride just asks the ladies she selects.



Typically, one of the following three options take place:
1. The mother of the bride throws the bridal shower herself
2. The mother of the bride throws it the assistance of BMs
3. The BMs throw the bridal party.

I threw my friend's bridal shower, and her mother had some input since it was at her home. I paid for the party (except for her mother's ideas).I did not have an issue with it because I love throwing parties, and we had been friends for years. I was happy to do it.

The bridal shower guests are usually all the bride's female friends and female family members who are invited to the wedding. The groom's female friends and female family members are also invited. The female friends of the bride and groom's parents who are invited to the wedding are not necessarily invited. It usually depends how close said friends are and the number of people invited from the previously mentioned groups.

We invited about 30 women to my friend's shower. Only two people were coworkers of her mother's. Everyone else actually knew the bride. (They had dated seven years, so she knew all of his family that attending the shower.)

Since there is a mixed crowd at the bridal shower, you usually get mixed gifts. The older ladies usually buy items from the registry. The younger ladies usually buy lingerie. I usually purchase lingerie. (I actually made a gift basket full of lingerie, undergarments, lotion-type things, and toys.) Be mindful of her size. People may inquire. My friend was easy. There was nothing off-limits, and nothing she had to have. It was a sophisticated party with a few games (Guess That Cake, All About The Bride, and All About The Happy Couple).

The bachelorette party is paid for by the bridesmaids. Period. One or two may organize it, but all the BMs are supposed to fund the party. I stress this because in my situation none of the BMs were interested in planning the bridal shower, but everyone wanted to plan the bachelorette party. And then my friend's underage sister (MOH) called me to help her the week before the party because the bride's cousin (who was supposed to plan it) was not answering her calls. She was too young to hire strippers, so I had to step in (and I was livid). I may have told this story previously, but it boils my blood still. Long story short, BMs came to the party with $1s, but no money to pay for the strippers (and bought extra guests). The party would have been canceled had the bride's cousins who were not BMs chipped in (and calmed me down). I digress. I suggest not getting involved with the bachelorette party if you are hiring private strippers and you do not know the other BMs well. Personal opinion.
