Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear it's gone to crap so quickly Comfort Pretty soon you'll just be saying, "just tell me what shoes, underwear, bra, dress, makeup, jewelry and hairstyle to wear! Give marching orders already, will ya?!" Oh man... The girl that fared the best from our clusterfudge dove for cover at the first sign of friction and only came out of the shadows when her CC was needed to purchase the dress and then the wedding, that was it. I'm going to agree with Nerdi here too- she doesn't know what she wants so she's bouncing stuff off you guys in hopes that it will help her figure it out... but it's just going to drive you nuts. She's just insecure about her looks if she's saying that junk to you guys... ignore it/nod & smile and do yourself up right for a formal occasion. No one will pay any attention to anyone but the girl in the giant freaking white dress. No exception. Unless you have your dress tucked into your panties or are dragging half a toilet paper roll down the aisle on your shoe. Stick Out Tongue
Blazing hot - with no A/C and the breeze is hot! We're supposed to get some relief tomorrow/today. Cool
laugh out loud You mean JUST 90? In my neck of the woods? laugh out loud

Yeah, hope the madness calms down regarding the dresses...and hopefully whatever is next. She did get her venue though, so it is set in stone. Next Saturday is dress shopping/trying on all over LA, so that ought to be interesting. I think all the BMs agreed we'll just let her put us in dresses since her style is soo different from ours and just make sure it's not horrible to the point where it distracts from the bride. Slutty cocktail dress anyone? look around Yes, she picked a slutty cocktail dress as a potential BM dress. Faint So we're just going to stay quiet...and if needed, other BM suggested dress altering party after the wedding. laugh out loud

Bride told us she wants us to wear black strappy shoes. I think I will just bring the ones I want to wear to the fittings and try it on with the shoe. Might give her a visual.

I will definitely be laying low!! Hopefully I won't be called on to help make stuff shake head

Turtle neck pointelle [victoriassecret.com] and crewneck pointelle [victoriassecret.com]
I'm loving them and I think my mom would too! :lol : I feel like I'm wearing mom clothes! :shake
I really like the 2nd dress. The first one is cute too, but I can't stand anything around my neck. VS has introduced some really cute clothes lately. I may get that 2nd dress myself.

I'm sure it looks better on you. nod

BTW, I hope you're having the time of your life.

Been kind of crazy summer. Now to move DS back to his job apartment back to college apartment, does that have you confused, lol.
Wow, that's a lot of moving. Faint How many more years do you have to do this? I always wanted more kids. As our DS got older, I was glad we only had one. laugh out loud They become so expensive. OMG

That's a great price. I still have a lot of the setting spray we got from Dermstore, but I'm tempted to get more. I must resist. Flex

Oooh, that looks like a rose gold, nice!

Me too, totally maturing on the makeup/body products.
)
Rose gold would be perfect with my skin tone, but I really don't need another dress made like this. Why didn't they introduce this color sooner? I would have ordered it, instead of silver. It seems like an odd color to release with the fall line anyway.

I'm actually running low on some makeup/body products. It seems like forever, since we've had any great beauty deals. There's been a few GWPs, but that's about it. I never did get into BBW & VS beauty products, so I don't have a stash of those like most of you do.

Quote from PordaPoddy :
I have to agree with the others, red/deep pink shade on the toes and bring the bottle for touch ups. Little to nothing on the nails. Even a clear coat can peel at 10 days. Might I suggest this nail buffer [amazon.com] ? I bought this guy after almost falling for the mall kiosk nail kit for $30. It's got 3 steps- Gray, Light Green and White. The Gray is an ultrafine sander (feels smooth to the touch). It grinds the ridges on your nails down so it is a smooth surface, I don't know what green does, but white is supposedly silk, which shines your nails sooo much, I swear they look wet (like a clear topcoat) for a week before I touch them up again. It's pretty amazing. The kiosk lady said not to do the Gray step more than once a month or it will thin out your nails too much. You can do the white shining step every day. :hear t:

Blazing hot - with no A/C and the breeze is hot! We're supposed to get some relief tomorrow/today. : cool:
I have a couple nail buffers I should use. What's one more, if that one works really well? Stick Out Tongue

No AC? EEK! We couldn't survive, & it's as hot there as it is here in the summer. You probably have more of a breeze most of the time than we do though. The Atlantic has a breeze coming off it, & it gets cool there in the evening. When we're at our place in North Miami, I usually wear pants & a sweater at night. We don't have a breeze coming off the Gulf, so we're not used to it. I hope it cools off for you soon.

Thanks for the heads-up. I should have ordered yesterday. I was waiting for today to have more time to put my orders together. Now the cheaper sweater would cost more. Annoyed I guess I'll wait for another BOGO & good code. Facepalm

Surf It's back down to the 70's over here woot Although it's not like I can fully enjoy the breeze...our neighbor has a smoke every few hours and we have to close the windows because it gets sucked right in. Mad

laugh out loud Yeah, I read what you wrote earlier about the BM's desires for a dress and didn't want to say anything... but was thinking "you're all going to be begging for mercy soon". Dare I say it? I think you've got a Bridezilla of your own! I wish you the best. On the upside, it's great that she's willing to consider non-bridal store places... Strategy-wise, if you can get her to start at a non-bridal place first next weekend and get her comfortable with the option before she hits the David's and other bridal stores where they can talk such a good game, she'll never consider anything else and you'll be paying out the nose. Scratchchin The bridal wear sales people are sharks and they know what buttons to push on the brides. Also, if the Bride falls in love with something from a bridal designer- like BillLevkoff or Dessy or AlfredAngelo, you can always order them online like I did for a lot less from a store that doesn't have to pay for a retail space in CA. I found one with great ratings that I tried to get my bride to use, let me know if you want the link.

Good idea to bring the shoes. So many stores have the acrylic stripper ones laugh out loud

Did you pull the tag off the silver/gold one already? There's a 90-day return policy! I almost think I like the silver/gold one better but will need to try it on. I still haven't worn my black/white stripe one in the same cut as this. It has been a long time on the beauty/skin deals, but I just hoarded that much stuff Stick Out Tongue

Yeah, the Pacific has a nice breeze most of the time, and when it doesn't I try to create my own with fans in the windows. We're doing OK now, thanks Smilie Last year we didn't have this hot wind combined with muggy humidity. We're out on a peninsula so it usually gets pretty cool out here at night. The heat just came at a bad time because I'm trying to train for the Avon walk and it's brutal in full sun at 95 degrees.

Hm...70s, too cold for summer. laugh out loud It's actually really nice today, not complaining compared to the triple digits the last few days. That really sucks about the neighbor. That just about ruins everything shake head

Unfortunately, she has already booked appointments at David's Bridal and Alfred Angelo for next Sat. I will reminded her to order online so that she doesn't get carried away. Bride seems wary about boutiques. The other BM seems to be wary of ordering from these types of shops and wants to only look at style and then look elsewhere. I'll see how my friend is, but I'm really hoping it won't get worse than this Bridezilla-wise! I know she's not very opinionated/strong personality aside from this dress mess (which is why we thought whatever dress would work!), so I can see the bridal salespeople being very pushy and she'll just settle.

I shall ask you for the link if this dress shopping doesn't work out!

laugh out loud I figured you would think it was too cold!

David's and AA will probably save you a lot of money in comparison to the designers offered by the boutiques. Though, David's and AA have styles that are $$$ too! Good luck Thumbup

ETA, just looked at pricing on David's short BM dresses.. the only ones under $100 are $99 or are on sale in limited colors/sizes. Zoinks!

I don't know, when I'll order it. I may wait hoping for SRCs in Nov., because I won't need it until we go to NC for Christmas. If I do get it before you, I'll let you know what I think.

I like C&E stuff too, but I never see a good deal on it. Without a killer deal, I'll never have a stockpile of any brand. I'm too cheap for that. Embarrassment I buy whatever I can get the best deal on. laugh out loud

All my dresses still have the tags on them, but I already bought shoes to wear with them. If I bought that dress, I'd have to buy shoes & wouldn't be wearing the shoes I bought to go with the dress I return. I pretty much bought a new pair of shoes to go with each of my dresses. Blush In my defense, with my weight loss, I also went down a 1/2 shoe size. All my old shoes are too wide now, & won't stay on without me scrunching my toes.

Living on a peninsula sounds nice. The beaches in your area were so different from ours. The landscape around them is beautiful.

Mad Had to close up again for the 2x today for the Smoke . Next time I run into her, I'm going to ask her to smoke on other side of the patio since she can't take the hint when a loud sliding door and window close every single time she lights up.

Congrats on the weight loss again, must have been a significant change for your body to have dropped a shoe size. So great for your joints! Bummer though. I buy shoes and dresses separately, and Pray something goes together. Usually each makes a pretty strong statement it's own, so it's hard to match a dress up with shoes without one taking away from the other.

The peninsula is neat, almost feels like an island with the different kind of weather and isolation. I love the shoreline! It's cliffs by me, so no pesky umbrellas mucking up photos Teehee . Lots of sea life too. Dolphins playing last week, totally fixed the bad day I was having. Smilie I highly recommend it, higher rent might be the same price as anti-depressants and counseling Stick Out Tongue
