They also have this parka with belts that some of my friends like. I think the belt is a pain, but they look really nice. Here is one without fur [thenorthface.com] and with fur [thenorthface.com]
I think the fake fur looks cheap, so I take it off the jackets.
It's worth it to check them out before buying them. I really like the Metropolis one because the down is packed really tight so it's really thin and lightweight. My parka is a little bulkier, which can be a bit of a pain. They're both nice, but I've never had a lightweight jacket that's so warm but not bulky. Since you're spending so much time in Chicago, any of these would be a very worthwhile investment.
