RETIRED Marlboro Outwit the West Funny Farm

228 92 October 16, 2010 at 01:35 PM
Hi all,

I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.

Everyone is welcome!

I was thinking that maybe it would be helpful to keep the original thread to a bit more of a serious discussion of the clues and answers.

This would make the original thread more useful to those seeking serious information and clues without having to read through hundreds of extraneous messages.

So, I hope it catches on !

So pop a beer and pull up a chair and relax !

Dont point it at anything they can call the police on. If nothing bad is going on just install it where you want to have a security camera and put the disc that came with it in your computer and it will walk you through it. Son is looking at a way to bypass D-Link and use other programs to use it.

Son will let me know more. There is a way to use it with a DVR but cant find that info right now. Also, make sure to password protect it! Thats how people hack in to see your feed.
Common sense rule of thumb....... if that big beautiful plant you have growing in the corner may not be the legal kind then DONT point the camera towards it!! Looks like it will be a great camera for monitoring the doors or windows
Thanks Cindy Smilie Let me know please if he finds a way to bypass it, I would rather do that.

I'm hoping that since I got my camping gear last Thursday, that your prize from Coleman will be arriving sometime soon. I'm not sure when you were announced as announced as a winner...it was sometime after me. I still have not heard from Brandmovers about the cash part of winning the grand prize in this contest. I believe Coleman would not be happy to know that Brandmovers is not only moving very slowly (I won the contest on June 1st), but have been terribly uncommunicative, and impossible to get in touch with.

The last e-mail I got was on July 10, telling me that my voice mail got cut off, that my prize would be shipped in a week and a half, and they would send me shipping info once it has been processed. I don't have voice mail and cell phones don't work at our house. I asked her to e-mail me or call my home phone number.

This is the first year Coleman offered this contest and the Great American Backyard Campout, which I believe was held in four locations. Coleman was super generous with the gear prizes, giving camping gear to fifteen other families at the Colorado camp, and allowed my family to keep the gear we used during the event.

Much of this Coleman gear is made in China, even though the company's home base is in Kansas. Frown

Has anyone else had problems with getting a prize from Brandmovers in a timely manner? Just wondering...
Lady from Brandmovers must be refreshed, actually got back to me this time without waiting a week! Said she passed the info on to Colemans a month ago but will check. Colemans told me they knew nothing so we'll see what happens. If they dont send it soon Im gonna complain that I missed camping season so just send the check!!! laugh out loud

Hi Dabbs. Our Granddog is a puggle. She's really a good dog around the grandkids.

I really think all those chemicasl the farmers use causes a lot of the cancer they get. The rest of use are subjected to the second-hand effects. Smoking is probably better for you than sniffing the air out there when they are treating their crops. Forget about drinking the water.
I have a granddog puggle too! lol sorry to hear your sad news

LMAO! Waiting to contract that fierce bug! Smilie We're all ok, thanks for asking! Mom making slow recovery but is progressing. Daughter is sharing my car until she can work out new wheels, so I don't get out much, yet there is so much activity around here I can't seem to get much done! So I'm gradually losing my mind nod
glad your mom is doing better

Good Morning Peeps

For centuries, Hindu women have worn a dot on their foreheads. Most of us
have naively thought this was connected with tradition or religion, but the
Indian embassy in Ottawa has recently revealed the true story.
When a Hindu woman gets married, she brings a dowry into the union.
On her wedding night, the husband scratches off the dot to see whether
he has won a convenience store, a gas station, a donut shop, a taxi cab,
or a motel in the United States.
If nothing is there, he must remain in India to answer telephones and
provide us with technical advice
good one

I can't imagine what it would be like to be an outside worker in this heat. I hate just going out to water the tomotoes and flowers. Our house isn't really air conditioned. We have two 500 btu ones, one in each of two rooms upstairs. I haven't had them both running at the same time for fear I'd blow a fuse. When I'm sitting at the computer downstairs, I just direct a fan at me, so it is bearable most of the time, but the heat has cut down on how much time I want to sit there.

I was starting to feel like the contests and games I play were a job, so I cut back. We've been to Des Moines the weekend before the 4th, watched our granddog the following week, and the kids from Chicago were here last weekend. Their son is almost 8 months old now. He's a good little fellow.

Found out this past weekend that a woman I worked closely with on several projects has a primary cancerous brain tumor. Seems to be a lot of that around here. Makes you wonder about all the chemicals farmers use. I know they can't drink their water.
I know. I had a couple of unexpected deaths of friends during the last few months. Sad. My father died of that but worked next door to a wig factory and the smell came thru the walls. A man I went to school with just had that also.
I think tomorrow will be going down to the mid 80's. I sure hope so. I always say "I am going to work now". And then according to my wins, I figure out if I worked for $1 per hr or more or did I donate my time. Only sometimes I do that. Have not really done sweeps as I have just been doing IW's. Just a few sweeps here and there.

Everything seems ok until the part that you give them permission to call the cops on ilegal activity. Im sure they must mean if someone is breaking in or something but its so vague that they could call on other stuff. We dont do anything illegal here but wouldnt want to get the cops called on me for the mancave/trap.

Just found out what I want to add to the man cave/ trap!!!!!! Gotta have one! My cousin lives next door with my mom since his ex messed him up. Every time he got an inheritance she came back until his money was gone. Ended up losing his house. His motto is "The more I know about women, the more I like my bike!!!" He details Harleys for a living! How cool is that!!! TEST DRIVE!!!! Big Grin Bar is nice but I want the Harley!!!! I was only 8 years old when Mark got his 1st one. Been in love with that roar ever since!!!
NEW MAN/CAVE NEED!!!!

The free version doesnt have as many things with it and you can view it using any web browser. The app for the smart phone costs $1 so thats not too bad. Doesnt look water proof but I'll check
Heres reviews. One person said they had it installed outside under an eave of the house for over a year in Atlanta. Very humid there http://www.amazon.com/D-Link-DCS-...B00452V66G

that is what happens to me. I go from thing to thing and cannot finish a project until Sam comes home and then he is to exhausted. I cannot imagine what it is like for him at his age to be working out there so many hours. I cannot push him to do stuff at night, but he tries. that is how i felt yesterday, like I was losing it. I found these really nice shells that look like beads that hang in the doorway in front of a closed door (hippy at heart). Have one on my bedroom door but Guido catches the beads sometime and they got raggedy. It was at TJ Max and they only had 1. Found another at another location and he took me after work. (This way both bedroom doors match upstairs.) Store moved and being stubborn he drove up and down as he remembered where it WAS. Stubborn in heavy traffic. Called 1800free411 (info) on cell - good number to remember, only pay for airtime for info. they moved. Finally found them and got the 2nd matching one. was happy. went to have dinner at a nice restaurant, and they were closed down even tho they appeared to be open. Was going to do sweeps but again was too tired.

BUT do we have to pay a monthly fee?? Is it waterproof or just for inside use only?

Great minds think alike. I just now asked the same 2 questions but do not know how to delete them. laugh out loud
