Timing: Begins at 9:00 AM Pacific Time (PT) on 7/26/12 and ends at 11:59 PM (PT) on 9/4/12.

Eligibility: Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia age 18 or older at time of entry.

Limit: One entry per entrant per day during the Sweepstakes Entry Period.

Prizes: One (1) Grand Prize: A $10,000 face amount U.S. Savings Bond (ARV: $5,000 at time of purchase); Two (2) First Prizes: A $5,000 face amount U.S. Savings Bond (ARV: $2,500 each prize at time of purchase); Fifty (50) Runner-up Prizes: A BIG Balloon Adventure Movie Swag Gift Pack (ARV: $300 each prize). Contents of Swag Gift Pack are at Sponsor's sole selection and discretion. Maximum value of all prizes: $25,000. Limit: one prize per household.

Each winner of the Grand and First Prizes must establish a Treasury Direct account with the U.S. Treasury in order to receive his or her prize. For instructions on how to set up a Treasury Direct account, please visit http://www.treasurydirect.gov/ind...v_open.htm. An IRS 1099 tax form will be issued in the names of the Grand and First Prize winners for the respective face amounts of the savings bonds.

uggg wonder if their is any more worthless investment then a savings bond...cashed my childhood ones I had saved for over 10 years. They didn't make 1% interest. Much better having cash in federally insured saving acct. What a freaking joke...

So I'm getting a 1099 that shows the face value of $10000 rather than actual value of $5000? Something fishy there.
