HP $120 desktop fiasco......

So who got in on the $3000 PC for $120 pricing mistake that happened this past weekend? The orders were cancelled and people rec'd a refund of their $$ on top of a $200 coupon off of the HP store (no minimum purchase)

I flipped my monitor on Ebay for $99.00 shipping extra. It sold within a couple of hours. I've been watching other auctions for the same monitor listed for $120 - $150, and they aren't selling. Ebayer's are cheap, and it's gonna be a hard sell for an HP monitor over $120 plus shipping.

Thank the Slick Deals deities I placed my order last night, because, lo and behold, the drive is $249.99 this morning! I was ready to name HP Company of the year for giving out the $200 certificates, but raising the prices to compensate for this really reminds me of how shady they can be.
They may not be taking as much of a bath on this as they would have had they sent $3500 computers out for $70, but it still must be walloping them good.
Lesson learned: If something like this ever happens again, use the coupon right away.
And thanks to all of you for spooking me and getting me to place my order last night!
