Fantasy Football

I've been running an "unofficial" SD Fantasy Football league for the last few years. I need a few more folks to sign up.

It's a yahoo league, live draft next Wednesday at 9 PM EDT. We have 6 so far, need 4-6 more. No $$ involved unless I can convince Schoobs to throw in an SD t-shirt for the winner. Wink

PM me if you're interested.

In another league I benched Torrey Smith because I didn't know if he was going to play. That move is probably going to cost me a win this week. Facepalm
My dad is in the hospital so I had to leave early. Mclain and smith were my only options. I had no one I could drop. I ended up leaaving him in and when I got home, he was catching his second TD. laugh out loud Go Me!

On another note... Scab refs go home! I enjoyed this missed call tonight. Maybe this will help get the regular refs back. laugh out loud Great game. They almost robbed the ravens sunday night.

If the calls in that game don't get the strike settled the NFL may as just well call off the rest of the season.

Horrible call to end the game but I don't see how they could overturn it with the replay. The one official who was looking right down at what was happening should have stood up and corrected the call on the field before it ever got to a replay. He was in a better position than the official that called the touchdown and he made the signal indicating it wasn't a touchdown.

High Five I was sure I was going to lose going into tonight.

I'm just hoping this game will cause them to bring the refs back, this is f-ing ridiculous.Mad

Even still, there was a pass interference that should have been called on that play. This is getting ridiculous with the calls this week.

The players are union; I don't understand why the don't just honor the strike by the officials. I have no idea if there is any kind of actual picket line by the officials but if there is the players should refuse to cross it. Tell the NFL that if replacement officials are good enough then they can use replacement players as well.

According to the rule book, rule 19..they are saying if one player had possession first then it is their ball.

I think GB should have refused to come back out and stuck it to the NFL. I agree the players need to take a stand before they get hurt worse then they did this week.

The pass interference (offensive) non-call doesn't bother me all that much even as a Packer fan because that is rarely ever called on a hail mary type play like that. The earlier pass interference call against the Packers that should have been offensive pass interference against Seattle was much worse. That and the roughing the quarterback call that took away the interception and kept Seattle's drive going was very weak at best.

If anything yea, it was offensive pass interference. But at the same time even a pass interference call on them was a fine line.

Just ughh this week, they should cancel the season. It's not even worth watching anymore.

The Pats got some shitty calls last night, but it went both ways at least and we never should have got that close to let the officials decide the game.

Too many teams got screwed this week.Mad

I was really mad about some of the calls in the Denver game, big PM fan, where he goes, I go and root for. I can understand the huge lead in the beginning due to defense, but some penalties were ridiculous which cost them the game, or at least a comeback.

The game tonight was all kinds of messed up. Jennings had possession...end of. The ref that came running in and called a touchdown had absolutely no view of the situation and should have throw a flag for the push-off and he had a clear view of that. If I didn't know better, I would say the game was fixed- how much does it take to pay off a ref that doesn't even belong on the field?

Vegas is going be to the ones that decide this situation- for those people that had GB winning, do you pay out or at least refund the bet? Ridiculous. Someone's head is going to roll for this game- maybe literally.

Iagree I think the PI call against shields and the pack was the worst flag in the game, ultimately, although it had the benefit of not deciding the game directly. at best that should have been a non-call, and looked a lot more like offensive PI.

The roughing the passer call was weak, too.

and at this point, I still don't understand how two refs can stand over the play in the end zone, look at each other, and make different signals. how did that not immediately go into a conference on the field with the officials to finalize the call? it was like they went straight from two signals to replay.

If I was McCarthy I would have kept the players off the field and paid the fine for not completing the game. hats off to him being a classier guy than me laugh out loud

Who should I start tonight? Barden or Brown?

Tough call. Philly secondary is tough and not sure Barden can adjust to that, he's not proven it against tough competition. But on the other hand, Coughlin has already come out and said he will go with the RB with the hot hand so if Brown coughs up the ball or just doesn't get going downhill well while Bradshaw does, Brown may not be effective. Plus Philly's run D is tough also. Not as tough as their pass D but tough nonetheless.

I would say go with the "starter" so Barden.
