Fantasy Football

I've been running an "unofficial" SD Fantasy Football league for the last few years. I need a few more folks to sign up.

It's a yahoo league, live draft next Wednesday at 9 PM EDT. We have 6 so far, need 4-6 more. No $$ involved unless I can convince Schoobs to throw in an SD t-shirt for the winner. Wink

I wouldn't take RG3 and he is not overly consistent either. RG3 is like a Cam Newton/Mike Vick type player, Blackman running the ball, and injury waiting to happen bc of it. Now, if you can trade for MJD that is a nice pickup. However, it would depend, do you need LF? Or do you have others to cover for him?

I would have taken Rice for RG3 straight up all day, assuming I have a decent QB on the bench or one I can pickup.

RG3 is more like a Vick than Newton. Newton has much better passing abilities than Vick ever did or ever will. Also Newton is a much bigger human being than Vick or RG3 and can take the beating better than either of the other two.

In one of my other bigger $ keeper leagues, I have both Newton and RG3. Been starting RG3 lately, but am looking to trade for a top notch RB or WR while I can. I don't think he is going to make it through this season. Even if he does, it's a keeper league so I can't keep both QB's anyways.

All depends on what you consider "fair" but that is pretty level and probably won't get much argument or veto action from your league. I would strip the RG3 from the mix unless that person is absolutely dead set on having him as apart of the trade and you REALLY want Fitz and Rice AND you have as good or better QB.

MIN defense. They really get after the QB and their QBs, don't matter which one, are very stiff and aren't very elusive. Ponder for MIN however is more elusive compared to the weakened pass rush (Darnell Dockett is still out) of ARI.

That person wants RGIII considering the flop he had with his QBs...Vick, Romo, and Philip Rivers (last night).
I'd go for it. No telling how long Bradshaw is going to stay healthy and getting Jones (no telling how long he'll stay healthy) and someone else will solidify you at RB.

I'm a bit of a homer (Bears fan)....

Someone offered me Arian Foster for Matt Forte.

It's a no brainer for me to give up Forte for Foster, right? It's a 12 team, two keeper, PPR league.

Not necessarily. Both are about the same age, run well, break tackles, are elusive at the second level, and catch the ball out of the backfield really well. What differentiates the two are the teams and the offenses.

Tate could vulture TDs from Foster while Bush could vulture from Forte. However Houston's offense is far more refined and powerful than Chicago's so I'd take Foster only for the upside from the intangibles.

I'll take Foster anyday, he is always bound with huge days. Their O-line is great. The Bears offense in general still needs work, and he has been injured once this season already... more prone than Foster for another.

Maurice Jones Drew Jackson took an injury today. What do I do now? All I have left is Matt Forte and Benjarvus Green-Ellis, those two haven't been really spectacular.
