open only to legal residents of the United States and the District of Columbia (except for Alaska, Hawaii, Maryland, North Dakota and Vermont), who are 15 years of age or older.
Contest Entry: Entry period begins at 12:00 p.m. CT on 8/9/12 and ends at 11:59 p.m. CT on 8/25/12 ("Entry Period"). There are two (2) ways a person can enter the Contest: via text message to the 49494 short code or via email to [email protected]. Limit one (1) Contest entry per person during the Promotion Period regardless of the number of email addresses or accounts a person may have and regardless of method of entry.
ENTRY VIA TEXT MESSAGE:
Step 1 (Take photo): Take a photo of a pair of Converse shoes that shows your love for Converse shoes. Each entrant must submit an original photo (DO NOT COPY OTHERS' WORKS, IN WHOLE OR IN PART). Photo must be no older than six (6) months. If another person appears in the photo, entrant must have their written consent prior to submitting photo as part of entry in the Contest. Do NOT include personal information (e.g., your name, e-mail address or phone number) in the photo as the photo may be posted in conjunction with your participation the Contest as discussed below.
Step 2 (Name your photo): Come up with a name for your photo ("photo name"). Do NOT include personal information (e.g., your name, e-mail address or phone number) in the photo name as the photo name may be posted in conjunction with your participation in the Contest as discussed below. PHOTO NAME MUST BE SOLELY YOUR ORIGINAL WORK (DO NOT COPY OTHERS' WORKS, IN WHOLE OR IN PART).
Step 3 (Text your photo): Text SHOWUS (space) YourPhotoName with your photo ("entry") to 49494. Example: text SHOWUS MyNaturalStyle to 49494. Standard text messaging and/or data rates may apply in conjunction with sending your entry and participating in the Contest. You are strongly encouraged to consult your wireless carrier's rate plan/service agreement BEFORE participating in the Contest. Those who participate may receive text messages from Sponsor and/or its designees regarding their participation in the Contest (thereby potentially incurring charge(s) from the wireless carrier). Text messaging capability may not be available in all areas, devices or carriers. All entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. CT on 8/25/12.

Limit one (1) Contest entry per person regardless of the number of email addresses or accounts a person may have and REGARDLESS OF METHOD OF ENTRY.
udging: Judging will be conducted in two stages. Sponsor and/or Converse Inc. will select the top ten (10) entries ("Finalists"). The judging (by Sponsor and/or Converse, Inc.) will be based on the following criteria: How well entry represents the Converse brand (25%); How fun and creative the entry is (50%); How suitable the entry is for promotional use by Sponsor and/or Converse Inc. (25%)
The top ten (10) entries ("Finalists") will then be posted at www.kohls.com/conversecontest ("Website") for fans to vote for their favorite. Fan voting is scheduled to begin at 12:00 p.m. CT on 9/2/12 and end at 11:59 p.m. CT on 9/8/12 ("Voting Period"). But, by posting a notice on the Website, Sponsor may postpone or otherwise delay the fan voting period.
Community Voting: Persons must be legal U.S. residents and 15 years of age or older in order to vote for posted photos. There is a limit of up to one (1) vote per e-mail address per day (12:00 a.m. CT - 11:59 p.m. CT)
Prizes and Approximate Retail Values ("ARV"):
Grand Prize (1 winner): Grand Prize winner will receive a 4-day/3-night trip from October 12, 2012 to October 15, 2012 for the winner and one (1) guest to the Austin City Limits Music Festival in Austin, Texas from October 12-14, 2012 ("Trip"). Exact travel dates to be determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Trip consists of round-trip coach class air transportation for two (2) to Austin, TX, from a major airport near winner's residence (departure and destination airports to be chosen by Sponsor in its sole discretion); 3-night hotel accommodations (one standard room, double occupancy) in a hotel of Sponsor's choice; round-trip ground transportation between destination airport and hotel; two (2) VIP passes to the Austin City Limits Music Festival; two (2) Austin City Limits Music Festival T-shirts, two (2) Austin City Limits Music Festival posters and $500.00 cash or cash equivalent for trip (i.e. gift card, with issuer of gift card to be determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion).
Approximate Retail Value of Grand Prize: $5,200.00
Runner Up Prize (1 winner): Runner Up Prize winner will receive one (1) pair of Converse shoes for him/her and up to three (3) friends. ARV of Runner Up Prize is $200.00. If Runner Up has fewer than three (3) friends, Runner Up Prize will be awarded in increments corresponding to actual number of friends and Runner Up Prize winner will not receive any compensation or substitute prize in conjunction therewith. Styles and sizes of Converse shoes are subject to availability. If actual value of Converse shoes selected by Runner Up Runner Up's friend is less than $200, Finalist will not receive the difference in cash.
