Hi all,

I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.

Everyone is welcome!

I was thinking that maybe it would be helpful to keep the original thread to a bit more of a serious discussion of the clues and answers.

This would make the original thread more useful to those seeking serious information and clues without having to read through hundreds of extraneous messages.

So, I hope it catches on !

If you have carpeting sprinkle salt everywhere. Leave it over night and vacuum it up daily and put more down. It will dehydrate them and they will die. You can also put a sturdy pie tin or shallow baking dish down full of water and burn a candle in the middle of it at night. The fleas will go to the light and heat of the flame and drown in the water. Shampoo your carpets with the blue Dawn dish soap. Fleas hate it!! Never had fleas when we had chickens!!!
In the spring we spray the fresh mowed grass with something we hook up to the water hose to kill the ones in the yard. Its safe cause we have dogs and the neighbors chickens so we have to watch what we use. Have to let it dry before they can go out. Keep the grass really short. Fleas prefer tall cooler grass and will stay away from the shorter grass because the sun will heat it and they wont have shade
