Hi all,
I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.
Everyone is welcome!
I was thinking that maybe it would be helpful to keep the original thread to a bit more of a serious discussion of the clues and answers.
This would make the original thread more useful to those seeking serious information and clues without having to read through hundreds of extraneous messages.
So, I hope it catches on !

DSL here for just over a year. Dropped the home phone and went with dry loop DSL (uses the phone line). It is sooo much faster.
I was able to install the service by myself. I've had 6 service outages during this time-without DSL for 4 hours to 4 days. Each time that I reported it, they wanted to send a tech out, each time, it was their fault and no tech needed. Kind of frustrating. Still use AOL, just went to the billing screen and checked that I had my own connection. So, AOL is free, no home phone-the bill is now less and I also have not cable. If there is a show that I really want to watch, I watch online.
Edit to say: Ok, searching a little now, think I figured out by "dry loop" you mean pure broadband? I would like to drop my home phone also.

I've been on phone this morning with my Century LInk, best they would give me was 49.95 if I don't want a contract, that's with dropping my home phone line...........39.95 if I take a 1 year contract.........she got pushy toward end when I was undecided, so that made me decide to look around more.
Was just trying to check online with AT&T , but they couldn't find my home address to give me details. Gonna call them soon as I'lm done with your test.
There's ate(sorry Jules, had to) Seattle Wash, which would you like me to choose
Dang, now I have the newer Paint program, rats.......but I know there's that snipping tool, I'll learn it next week.

Edit to say : CLink did offer me 29.95(1995 1 yr contract) at 1.5M??s , but she said that wasn't good for movies, etc.......and I might decide to get into them since I don't have cable.(like Figaro does)
If these prices seems good to someone, let me know, I'm not sure what the prices should be if I'm dropping my home phone service....and just having DSL.
Just got off phone with AT&T , they don't service my area..........but she says, I hope you will consider us in the future for your needs.......I had to laugh at her and told her that's hard to do if they don't service me.
