RETIRED Marlboro Outwit the West Funny Farm

228 92 October 16, 2010 at 01:35 PM
Hi all,

I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.

Everyone is welcome!

I was thinking that maybe it would be helpful to keep the original thread to a bit more of a serious discussion of the clues and answers.

This would make the original thread more useful to those seeking serious information and clues without having to read through hundreds of extraneous messages.

So, I hope it catches on !

So pop a beer and pull up a chair and relax !

Gary or CW - I just got the EMAIL from the TAMPICO pinata blast - the form is attached. has to be notarized and sent back. I do not know how to scan and send it in an email. Can you help me? Notarized for $50 - always something.
I would try the bank or library for the Notary. My Notoray is free at both of those places.

I'm gonna kick your buttnod I'm waiting for your page to load....so I'll give you a report.

I've been on phone this morning with my Century LInk, best they would give me was 49.95 if I don't want a contract, that's with dropping my home phone line...........39.95 if I take a 1 year contract.........she got pushy toward end when I was undecided, so that made me decide to look around more.

Was just trying to check online with AT&T , but they couldn't find my home address to give me details. Gonna call them soon as I'lm done with your test.

There's ate(sorry Jules, had to) Seattle Wash, which would you like me to chooselaugh out loud
Dang, now I have the newer Paint program, rats.......but I know there's that snipping tool, I'll learn it next week.Big Grin

Ok, hope I got it attached right, now you can laugh!

Edit to say : CLink did offer me 29.95(1995 1 yr contract) at 1.5M??s , but she said that wasn't good for movies, etc.......and I might decide to get into them since I don't have cable.(like Figaro does)
If these prices seems good to someone, let me know, I'm not sure what the prices should be if I'm dropping my home phone service....and just having DSL.

Just got off phone with AT&T , they don't service my area..........but she says, I hope you will consider us in the future for your needs.......I had to laugh at her and told her that's hard to do if they don't service me.
Oh you poor thang, 0.06 is like a string tied to two cans. Even if ya start with the 1.5m you'll be amazed but I would try for a little better if ya can, Maybe 5 or so. Mine is cable and I pay for the most they offer ($54 including their $6 modem rent) Spose to be 50.0m but I've never seen it on that speed test. The best I've ever seen was like 32. Today was only 21m. When I go to my cable companies speed test it always says 50m Hahahahaha. Bastids

Although I'm not Gary or CW, I just want to say: although most banks and libraries will not charge to notorize documents, some Notaries do charge. There is a limit set, by state, as to how much they can charge. In most cases, the maximum is $10, unless they have to do some non-notary work for you as well. You should def check what the max is in your state. Somone quoting $50 could, potentially, be fined or imprisoned for notorial misconduct.

Isn't the Milk Mustache an hourly entry? They answered me on facebook and said they will respond to my "email" as soon as possible and will manually enter my info. I must have sent them 20 emails since the site is not working for me. am I doing wrong? I do it whenever I can after waiting for an hour. Do you all enter often or have I misunderstood.
Yes you send the email every hour! I am sure they are overwhelmed, so I wouldnt wait for them to respond to emails, just keep sending them Smilie

$50 for a notary is way too expensive
$10 is the most they can charge in CA

ask at your bank
unless you won the whole skateboard the deck only sells for $50 retail
No, no it is for free at the bank. I meant to have something notarized for a $50 prize. but how can i send it back to them??

Our liscence bureau does it for $1.50......I'm thinking maybe Blondeey meant it's a shame to have to get something notarized that only cost $50...IF your a AAA member it's free.

They should just let us win to stop this insanity. Just give us the coffeemaker and latte package. Smilie

Hopefully I'll find something today that I want to do, or Ill go to my CLink and just order it up for a month, and have more time to check around.......I just don't want a contract, cause then they got ya........even if it don't work at all.

Good afternoon! Though it still feels like morning. I am weary of birthday parties, been to 3 in the past 2 weeks and have to travel to Houston this week for another. Gets hard on the pocketbook!
Congrats to all who have been winning! I haven't had much time to play but did receive this email:

Thank you for participating in the Margaritaville® Brand's "Mixed Drink Maker" sweepstakes.

Congrats! You have been randomly selected as one of our weekly prize winners. The prize you have won is a pair of Margaritaville® Hemisphere Sunglasses!

This prize has an Approximate Retail Value of $80.

Your prize will be delivered to the address used on the sweepstakes entry form and should arrive in the next 2-4 weeks.

Thank you again for your participation and congratulations on behalf of Jarden Consumer Solutions.

Fins Up!

The Margaritaville® Brand Team
www.margaritavillecargo.com

Which was a pleasant surprise, and then I received them on Saturday! That's the 2nd pair I've won, this pair is gold and the other silver, but very nice.

My daughter had her 1st drs appt.last week since learning she is expecting. She feels like she's in good hands, but it's still a high risk situation. Apparently we'll know more at 20 weeks (she is 10 weeks), at this time the placenta plants into the utuerus, if it implants on a good healthy part we can relax a lot more. If not, she could bleed out at delivery....so please pray and think positive thoughts for her, thank you!

Hope you all are doing good, missed hanging out!
