Remember when every cell phone had a different charger? It wasn't till recently that they started to standardize them. The fact that it took this long to change Apple's adapter isn't that bad.

I only own one small Memorex radio that has the old pins. Since I only paid $20 for it, I will give it to my daughter to use with her ipod touch. It's no biggie to me.

Apple is providing an adapter for this new connector, so not to worry: your old iPhone accessories didn't just get obsoleted overnight.

The Apple haters will always find something to hate. Whatever. New hardware looks great, and should perform great along with iOS 6. I'll be preordering Friday ASAP.

It's funny that I always see so much hatred towards Apple, but not all that much from Apple-fans towards Android. Apparently people don't get the whole live and let live. Use what OS you like best and move the hell on with life.

If you don't like the iPhone and iOS, why bother bitching about what Apple does or doesn't include? Unless you have stock in the company, your bitching is just, well, bitching for the sake of bitching. Dontknow

I love the Apple devices but I have nothing bad to say about Android. As a matter of fact, I use most of Google's services (voice, music, docs, drive, gmail, etc).

I'm not sure why people hate on Apple Dontknow

BTW, that 30-pin connector was almost 10 years old. It lived longer than most technologies. Apple has nothing to be sorry about in this case.

I have the current iPhone and it seems anti-climatic. Bigger and thinner are not that drastic game changers.

For me, it was a disappointment.

So, upgraded camera (hardware+software), bigger screen, faster processor, etc.. none of those mean anything to you? What were you really expecting? I.E., what wouldn't have been a "disappointment"?

That doesn't really have anything to do with Android? Scratchhead

I imagine if Jobs was still around, they would have brought more to the table than essentially "more of the same".

It's a new generation of the device. I don't really understand the complaining about it. It's as good or arguably better than any other smartphone on the market when combined with iOS 6. Sure I'm not going farking crazy about it, but it's a great device and a great next iteration in the line. Dontknow

I doubt it. Honestly, I don't know what more people would have wanted out of it. NFC? Maybe. But Apple tends not to jump into that kind of new tech without it being proven first (look at LTE as an example). And security is a major issue that Apple will look at with it.

Some people could never be happy.

I love the complete overhaul to iTunes. It's about time they paid attention to their core product.
