The 25th Anniversary Edition of 'So' will be available on CD and digitally, as well as in an expanded 3CD and digital Special Edition featuring a previously unreleased 1987 Athens concert recording from Gabriel's 'So' tour, and as a 4CD/2DVD/LP/12″ Deluxe Limited Edition box set. The box set includes the remastered album on CD and 180-gram vinyl, mastered at half speed for optimal audio quality. The track list has been re-sequenced to reflect Gabriel's original vision, which was altered for the initial release.
The package also features previously unreleased audio and video content, including the two Athens concert CDs and a CD titled 'So DNA' comprising drafts of the songs as works in progress, which map the album's evolution from concept to completion. It also includes a DVD featuring the Athens concert, which was Gabriel's first-ever filmed concert and has been completely restored to appear here for the first time. A second DVD includes a new installment of the Classic Album documentary series about the making of 'So,' featuring new interviews with Gabriel and co-producer Daniel Lanois.
And if that's not enough for Gabriel fans, the box also offers a 12-inch double A-side vinyl single with two previously unreleased tracks from the 'So' sessions, 'Courage' and 'Sangrada,' and an alternate version of 'Don't Give Up' (Piano and Bvox Mix). A 60-page case-bound book with an introduction, a summary of the 'So DNA' written by Peter Gabriel, new liner notes, and a collection of rare and never-before-seen photographs completes the box set.
