So its been bugging me but I dunno if someone could answer this.
My friends and I like to hang out at a McDonalds because we're hooked on the Iced Coffee as its cheap.
I typically order a large Ice coffee but sometimes I finish it early. I went to fill it with soda and a lady (another fellow customer) gave me a comment about how I shouldn't be doing that and should purchase a fountain drink cup (McDonalds has that $1 any size fountain drink going on)
I ignored her but its been bugging me.
Is it appropriate to just empty the left-over ice out of the cup and fill it with something from the Self-Serve Fountain Drink dispenser? (I understand its ok if I fill it with water)
What do you guys think?

You really can taste when places put a little more effort into their product, but you have to pay for it too.
They have a 99 cent delux that's pretty good, and this super duper cheesy thing too...

I googled around a little about Burger King chili and apparently it was also made in each individual store and they did use actual flame-broiled burger patties for the chili.
It wasn't the same as Wendy's but I recall liking it just as much. Wendy's still had the advantage of this though:

We Americans are so used to so many "luxuries". And, it's engrained in the psyche of Americans. It's considered normal. The super large portions. Expected return/exchange policies. Good customer service. 15% minimum tipping. Freebies galore.
And, it's not the American consumers who are to blame. It's the businesses who allowed it in the first place. They allowed it to get this far in order to appease consumers. Now, they expect it. Only natural.......
For example, who started the idea that you can bring in your sunglasses or eyeglasses that you bought 1-2 yrs ago and expect it to be repaired for free? Yes, it's a sensitive subject for me!
Or, if you didn't even buy the eyeglasses at a particular store/business, why would you expect that any business would repair them for free for you? I just don't get it.
Do ppl who bought a nice suit expect the store to supply them with buttons forever? Can you walk into any drycleaners with your ripped pants or jacket with a missing button and expect them to repair it for you for free when you never bought the items there or even had any services performed at that drycleaners before?
It's just amazing.......
