Thanks I'll grab a banana with my coffee, and I have protein powder too. That'll be breakfast! woot
Much as I hate to somewhat agree with TP, the banana at night was pretty key. The potassium will help you to avoid cramping up overnight. Now, I say somewhat agree because the potassium from a banana isn't as much as people think. Most of it is in that little black nub that you throw away.

I disagree with protein powder in the morning. Generally you mix that with milk, and the last thing you want to drink on race day is milk. Plus the protein has no positive effect on the race itself, even if it MAY help with muscle repair after.

The best way to think about eating for an AM 5k is that all of your food prep should be in the 2 days prior. What you eat that morning is pretty inconsequential except if it hinders you. I'm sure you're not looking to win the thing, but it's always nice to be able to run without stomach cramps, the feel of food sitting undigested in your stomach, etc.

My 2 cents.

Wow. You could have used a furniture mover for the couch and a hand truck for the other stuff. UHaul rents them for <$10. Hindsight is 20/20 though. laugh out loud

Good luck with the run woot

Oh dear I can't imagine her shredding everything! I haven't had a wacky dog in 15 years, I'm so out of practice! And this is moms dog- I just spend time with her alot.
My parents don't want her wrecking their house when they are out so they have to crate her sometimes. She's potty trained just very nimble and a piggy. They fear her hurting herself trying to get to something she shouldn't.

That's totally understandable. She just needs to learn to not see the crate as a punishment. Dogs are den animals by nature and once she realizes the crate is her safe place in the world she should come to like it. She may not ever like having the door closed and being home alone but it will get better with time.

Leaving the radio on when nobody is home helped a lot with my dog when she was young and adjusting to her crate.

Let's try not to label people mmkay?

I'm a fan of all women. ALL of them. Martha Stewart kind of does it for me if you really want to know. She's sort of hot. It's a good thing.

My 2 cents.
Those gatorade thingies are awesome. They make the chewies and the packets that you drink before exercise or whatever... I'd suggest giving those a go. They always help keep my energy up during runs because you're getting pure carbs in your system. +1 for the banana(s) the night before.
