He might just stop and lay down.
I disagree with protein powder in the morning. Generally you mix that with milk, and the last thing you want to drink on race day is milk. Plus the protein has no positive effect on the race itself, even if it MAY help with muscle repair after.
The best way to think about eating for an AM 5k is that all of your food prep should be in the 2 days prior. What you eat that morning is pretty inconsequential except if it hinders you. I'm sure you're not looking to win the thing, but it's always nice to be able to run without stomach cramps, the feel of food sitting undigested in your stomach, etc.
My 2 cents.
Good luck with the run
That's some pretty sound advice right there.
My parents don't want her wrecking their house when they are out so they have to crate her sometimes. She's potty trained just very nimble and a piggy. They fear her hurting herself trying to get to something she shouldn't.
That's totally understandable. She just needs to learn to not see the crate as a punishment. Dogs are den animals by nature and once she realizes the crate is her safe place in the world she should come to like it. She may not ever like having the door closed and being home alone but it will get better with time.
Leaving the radio on when nobody is home helped a lot with my dog when she was young and adjusting to her crate.

I'm a fan of all women. ALL of them. Martha Stewart kind of does it for me if you really want to know. She's sort of hot. It's a good thing.
