oh no… originally i complained about the noise got the police involved called ABC (the gov org not the tv stat) and when they refused to abate the nuisance i sued them in court for damages (loss of use of my apartment etc) and punitive damages, all of which were awarded to me by the judge. They appealed, we went back to civil court and since it was now a civil matter i amended my complaint to seek an injunction against the nuisance which the new judge granted me.


They failed to comply with the court order so I subpoenaed their financial records but to levy a leon against them (have the sheriffs department seize their assets) and they failed to appear. The court issued arrest warrants for essentially being dipshits. I made my copies then turned them over to the sheriff. I called my landlord asking when he was going to take this problem seriously, he said he didn't give a shit, i faxed him the warrant while i was still on the phone with him and let him know i had filed that with the sheriffs department the day before. he hung up and the next morning i got paid. he then called me 3 months later and said he wanted to help pay my moving expenses if i wanted to move

no letter w/check? how much a month's rent, 3 month rent? did you accept his offer to help w/moving costs?

I've made my decision, and I'm finally getting my kids off of gov't insurance. We are going with the 50/50 plan and saying a lot of prayers about it.

he paid 500 towards moving which was fair and we agreed that my security deposit was to be returned in full as long as i did nothing spiteful (I lived there for 9 years prior to the bar moving in) so there was a good amount of wear and tear, carpets needed replacement etc just from that alone

I have a grandmother like that, too. She says horrible, horrible things to people. 3 out of 4 children aren't even speaking her, just to give you an idea of just how horrible.

She is nicer now that I don't live near her, though. I don't know why. I still don't talk to her for years at a time. Do you live close to your Gram?

There comes a time in life when you have to let go of all the pointless drama and the people who create it and surround yourself with people who make you laugh so hard that you forget the bad and focus solely on the good. After all life is too short to be anything but happy



I will say the same thing to you as i said to TP, look into Buddhism… its not a replacement for any religion you do or don't have, its a way of looking at and interacting with the world and people around you. one of its best aspects and hardest ones to master is that of letting go and forgiving people.

well if you are satisfied w/that. how much was orig check?

i recall reading in ca real property law provides for 5 or 7 year carpet lifespan in rental property...after that owner can't expect anymore life

I pay 50% of every bill and the insurance company "pays" 50% of every bill. In reality, it means I pay 50% and the insurance company says, "Well our contract with you is to pay 60% of all charges and 50% have already been paid so here's 10%."

It wasn't about money it was about being able to live in my apartment without being kept awake till 3am
