He had an appointment this morning, and generally chooses to put only a few tablespoons of tomato paste in his pot of chili. Like half of one of those small cans.
Thanks

that's what i was thinking. it would be too watery using just tomatoes. maybe like 10 Roma tomatoes, and then canned tomato sauce?

where's VF when ya need him?????
You could always cook it down...cut up lots of tomatoes, cook them for a while to get rid of all the excess water and then add whatever else on top...

What happened to grilled cheese and chili? Although, now at I think about it, those two are almost a perfect combo. Although I find GC works with a more watery soup bc the crust can act and a substitute for crackers.

Well, these points I got by ordering $12 worth of stuff from them last week. The other points have come from buying pizza from them with 50% off coupon codes laugh out loud

I like Papa John's the best because their thin crust is actually a crispy thin crust. Other places have a not-so-thin thin crust LMAO

Only if you do it all from scratch. I usually do 2 cans of tomatos and 2 cans of chilie beans, cut up onions and stoplight peppers (brown meat in skillet while cutting up veggies) and throw them all in, season and bring to a boil...usually I'll let it simmer for 30 minutes at least while I watch tv or do laundry or work on hw with the kid...but the whole thing shouldn't take more than an hour that way. And if you just bring to a boil and eat then it's only about 35 minutes.

Obviously you make a bunch all at once and then the next couple of nights are even better because the chili has had time to blend together Smilie
