What is with the new people constantly going into threads and cutting people down? Why are we putting down other's screennames? why are we so goshdarn rude? This site has gotten out of control and mods really need to take control of the rudeness of it. This site used to be such a nice place to hang out. Now you have to stand up for yourself in every thread you make because the asshats come along and either hijack the thread or will start being, well, asshats. And people wonder why we start going to other forums?

We have the mod alert feature for a reason, people. Use it. There are eleven of us, and thousands of all of you. We can't read every post.
The Lounge is what you make it. You have the control to help make it better. You want a better Lounge? Be pro-active and do something about it.

FTM, I understand and agree with some of what you say. But no matter what you deem to be lack of respect or understanding, attacks, etc., the freedom all these people have to act like that is the same freedom everyone had when you used to like the lounge more. Nobody makes you come here.
I'm not a fan of the attacks, and they piss me off sometimes. I've voiced my opinions here and moreso somewhere else. You either have to tell them off or let it go. It's not worth your time beyond that.
I don't know why I'm even posting this, everyone keeps saying the same things all the time.
The problem with that Raddish is that the things that have made the Lounge less enjoyable for some of us aren't necessarily things that are against the rules and therefor don't seem worth mod-alerting. I think I have said it before--what seems to be lacking these days here is respect. It isn't just about the rudeness and the insults; those have always been here. You do it and Lord knows I have done my share. The difference is knowing when it is inappropriate and too often that simple little courtesy just doesn't exist. It took me taking a step back and realizing that I was starting to follow the same pattern to see how easy it is to lose that respect and I didn't like what I saw.
Of course, we need to see the post to delete it, and that's where you come in. Bring it to our attention.
As for 'having our hands full', well, part of what we do is attempt to make this a better place for all. A few mod alerts of some asshat posts isn't going to to make it that much more busy for us, seriously. We'd rather know about the asshats and be able to keep track of them and do something about it than see threads like this pop up all the time.
Geeze, you people are like herding cats. It'd be easier if we had some help (read: mod alerts). Seriously.
