My testicles are annoyingly itchy, have you ever had poison ivy on a sensitive area?

I've become terribly allergic to poison ivy to the point where when I get a touch of it (like this) I have to get medication to take care of it because my body won't fight it on its own. I'd say of the last 5 times I have been to the hospital for something non-routine, 3-4 times are attributed to poison ivy. I can just brush up against it and it'll soon spread ~48 hours later ... doesn't bode well for my mediocre golf game.

While landscaping around the yard this weekend, I must have gotten near a bunch of poison ivy and it started on my forehead (wiping my brow) and my eye (very annoying, puffy like a bad hangover), and has descended the to wonder nether region when I must have adjusted myself (sue me, I'm a guy).

Commence with the mockery, I'm providing you a golden chance to make "Rammy's balls are so itchy..." jokes until someone locks the thread. Begin.

Silly girl, although we appreciate the kind thought, its the man's responsibility to ask the doctor to "add an extra stitch for Daddy".

I found a site yesterday that showed pictures of poison ivy in various forms. The darn thing pops up in spring with purple leaves ... wtf! Evil plant!

Well, some doors have never been exited, so a stitch for daddy would be unnecessary. (See my disclaimer in the "Married Mothers" thread.)

And I superglued myself...to...myself...while doing naked shower crafts, if you must know. (And let's be honest...you must.)
Actually, it was my hand and...well, anyway, this is getting personal. Blush2 How DID I manage that? I know it was something big that had to be washed in the shower, and it started to come apart, and it needed to be glued, and I was sitting down, and the glue dripped, and I panicked and tried to clean it up, and that's where the problem came into play. EEK!

Annnnnnnnyway...

Well, that was easy. I was going to try booze and liquor. You are much easier than I thought.

Bring the booze and liquor anyway. And bring superglue.

Yeah, you could say that. I'm still not allowed around powerful sealants. Nono2

Ah no, I'm rather attached to my boys and any suggestion of a powerful sealant or sharp object near them is cause for alarm! Whee

OP--for poison Ivy---dont use any other soap than the blue dandruff type. Use this for your entire body for 6wks. for localized areas use diaper rash cream--stuff works great for insect bites also.

Thanks for the tip, I think I did end up using some diaper rash cream to ease the burning. Not sure I know what the blue dandruff soap is? Dontknow

The problem I have with such a rash is that I recognize it too late. Case in point, I had what I thought were flea/spider bites on my left wrist that sure enough, 3-4 days later developed more familiar blisters of a poison ivy rash. Worse, the oil from the plant could be anywhere I might brushed up against: work gloves, a jacket, door frame of my truck, etc.
