..I think it's time to dump her. Should we get divorced?

She went out last Saturday night with some guy, stayed out until 1 am. Then on Tuesday, she's out again until 1 am, says they went to eat and then a movie!!?! Last night, 1:30. It's getting later, I guess it's time to dump her! Sadwalk

What would you do?

it sucks that she out with another guy... but who in their right mind would tell their husband that if they were cheating???? did you ever consider perhaps she's not happy with something you're doing... 90% of the time women leave men for emotional reasons NOT physical... and a lot of times its something minor that just got ignored over and over and over again... so it blows up into something crappy like this... maybe she has self esteem issues... none of these are excuses I know... but do you love her??? I mean really love her??? marriage means forever deemed by GOD... PLEASE if you do get divorced stay away from marriage for a third time unless you are willing to stick it out... adultery is the only excuse for a divorce in the bible HOWEVER trying to work it out is still strongly suggested.... I don't mean to spill all this religious stuff but I'm so tired of people not sticking their marriages through and just running to get a divorce at the first sign of trouble... I don't blame you for wanting one... I really don't... but maybe there is another side to this... she's still your wife, and you either still love her or did at one point... so why not at least give it a try... if anything at least god will smile down upon you...
Like they say: once a cheater, always a cheater.

Cheating on someone has to do with trust, respect, and integrity. If someone cheats on the other party, he/she is debasing the commitment to the other party. There are better people in the world who would never commit such an act. They may not always be happy in life but they would not disrespect their SO in such a way.

Stealth, you are better off without the drama. You could forgive her but you never know what could happen next. Good luck buddy. hug

Wow Stealth. Good to hear you are taking it so well.

off topic, but I think that has probably set an SD record for number of votes in a poll.

I read this whole thread and Stealth, you have gone through this the right way. I commend you for thinking with you head and not your heart on this. My parents went through this when my mom was cheating and not even hiding it. It didn't end up like your situation. Keep it up bro. Freedom from her will be a good feeling I'm sure. Great job!! Hope she will pay child support too. There is a such thing as dead beat moms too.

I wish we could hear all the sides of relationship stories we read about here - his, hers, the interloper's, the kids', etc..

I'm not questioning stealth's telling of it in the least.

Wouldn't you really like to hear the wife explain what she's doing and what is going through her head?

And what does the guy think, that he's special and she won't cheat on him later?

You are right. There are two sides to every story (well, 3 including the lover). And, the kids have their perspectives, too!

Here's what she told me. I'm not supportive of her, and I don't spend enough time with her. I push her away. It's my fault she did this. EEK!

I know I wasn't the perfect husband, and I regret that. I'm not going to be getting into any more serious relationships anytime soon.

As far as what he's thinking, who knows! Evidently, he used the "L" word yesterday, but she didn't use it back.

All I know is, I go to sign the divorce papers in 30 minutes, and I can't wait! Yahoo!

EDIT: Xnarg, notice I put your quote in my siggy! Thumbup
