This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

I made Sheba casserole last night! Ok, it was actually Chef Michael's. yummy One of the cans that I was going to donate somehow ended up on top of a baking pan, that was sitting on the stovetop. When the empty pans were put in the oven for storage, dog food can went with it. When I pulled the pans out to make dinner last night, dog food fell off. I opened the oven at one point to check on dinner and smelled something burning, thought it was cake drippings from last week. Right after dh came home from work, we heard an explosion in the oven. There was dog food EVERYWHERE- on the chicken, all over the front, sides and top of the oven. EEK! I can't tell the story in writing and make it as funny as when it actually happened. Stick Out Tongue

If anyone has the Target yahoo group info and doesn't mind pming me, I would appreciate it. My computer fried a few weeks ago and I've temporarily lost my saved files.
oh holy cow!! thank goodness it didn't explode when you had opened the oven to check on dinnerEEK!

If you still need the info, PM me. I'm sure it's in all this junk somewhere Wink There are hardly any posts there anymore, unless I'm on the wrong yahoo laugh out loud

Not much to say here. No T runs yet... not looking good for tomorrow - though, the fact that I am supposed to make food for 10 extra mouths would give me an excuse...

As for finding out the sex of the baby - I would love to be surprised, but DH is so totally impatient. He would want to know his birthday present today if I had it for him - and his bday isn't until Feb. It does make it a bit easier to prepare for stuff. However, I have know 4 people told that they were having a girl and ended up with a boy (or vice versa).
Dooooooooooooooooooon't say that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Coverlaugh People ALWAYS say that and tell you stories of all the people they know who had the opposite of what the US tech told them. The US was correct on both of mine and people were always saying they knew someone whose cousin's wife's niece had boys after the US said girl and their nursery was pink. LMAO

yeah, I had people tell me that too.. 4 times for me and they were all correct. I think US have come along way from where they once were. Not near as many mistakes as before. If your US tech has any experience they can usually determine if the view is correct. I have had the tech tell me before that they weren't sure and couldn't get a good enough look, but they THOUGHT it was a girl.. we just didn't count on it until it was confirmed a second time by US.. With my last 3 pregs I had so many US that I was certain what it would beLMAO

Now weight is another thing. They never seem to be correct for me when estimating the weight. They told me my last DD was over 8.5 pounds 3 weeks before I had her.. we induced cause she was going to be over 9-9.5 pounds we thought. she ended up being the smallest at 7 lb 7 ozCool

Funny that we are talking about this......my best friend wants me to go to Wags or CVS and buy this kit called intelligender.
You can take a pee test and it detects the gender by 9 weeks. It "says" 93% accurate.
Anyone ever see or take this? It's 35 bucks!
I can wait but it seems she can't!

It's based on the PH of your urine, not the DNA of your kiddo.

You'll get a result even if you're not pregnant Stick Out Tongue

Dontknow never heard of it...So the pee is different depending on whether you are having a girl/boy...what if you are having multiples??? Confused...

I have also heard from someone that there is a tablet avilable to change the sex from girl to boy if taken within the first 9 weeks....Dont know the name or where it is available...Interesting things out in the market...

Qqueen I just saw that product on the show the doctors last night and they had 2 ladies that already knew the gender from US take the test and they were both right. They said US is 95% accurate and this new test at 9 or 10 weeks is 90% accurate. They were afraid that people would use them in a bad way for gender selection. Makes me sad that some one would terminate because the baby wasn't the gender they wanted Weeping

Laina, thanks for the story, sorry about the asshats but your f-bombs made me Laugh

Setsail, thanks for the PM about Mustela. We used it last night and have seen a marked improvement.

Went to ped this morning and indeed baby has severe baby acne (but it looks 100 x better after using the Mustela shampoo), she was happy to see how on top of the cradle cap we are and cut out dairy to see if the streaks of blood in his poo go away. She gave us a gold star for being so informed. I said I've got a great group of ladies online that have shared their experiences and have informed me of what this stuff may be!

Oh and Setsail I'm so impressed with that product I went to BRU and got the sensitive body wash and lotion hug

Just because it's on a TV show (especially ones like the doctors, oprah, etc), doesn't mean it is true laugh out loud - Why Health Advice on 'Oprah' Could Make you Sick [newsweek.com]

Look at all the other dumb products CVS/Wags/etc sells, and that we get coupons for in the backs of SS and RP... and how products like Airborne get taken to task [cnn.com]

an amnio is sure but also a good way to know is if the kid is playing with his penis in the ultrasound. we had an ultrasound every other week during pregnancy and during one of them, he was playing with it. Like father like son.
Apparently, DH is not the only one playing with his....at least, not all the time.

So, how was the chicken?

My wife usually just puts cream of mushroom soup on hers, but you may be on to something here in terms of an alternative topping.

yummy
