This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

dpags, thanks for the zillow info. Very interesting. They are selling for a good bit lower than they bought 4 years ago. Wonder why they would sell when the market is down and take a loss Scratchchin
They may be selling lower, because they found another house they want that is being sold lower as well, since the market is bad.

One of our neighbors sold their big house at a low selling price, and the new neighbors couldn't believe what a great deal they got. They concluded that the sellers were broke, but that is not the case at all. They found a home that they like better that they got a great deal on themselves, so it all evened out for them.

My DH and I would also like to find a new home in a more private area. I figure we can afford to sell in the bad market, if we can find a great deal on a new home! That way it will all be relative.

On the other hand, for those selling their homes due to financial crunches or other reasons that are not buying another home, this is definitely not a good time to sell.

Maybe some of you Target experts can figure this out. Yesterday I bought 4 Airwick I-motions larger kits. All of them are the same thing Cool Linen & White Lilac with the UPC #062338822891. However, on the receipt one is listing as item #003040141 for $5.02 and the other three are item #003041229 for $5.99 each. Those grouped together for a total of $17.97, and I bought no other Air Wick things so I am confused. I have looked and looked at these packages and can find no differences, but figure it shouldn't make any difference since all the UPC's are the same.

Looking at these AirWicks again, I do see another number above and to the left of the bar code. It is not part of the bar code or bar code numbers, it could be a lot number. Two of the packages say TC91890357, and two of them say TC91890354. So if anything two would be different, but again I really don't think that number has anything to do with how they scanned.

some random things I thought I would mention...

There are little brown cardboard coupons on Auro socks that read ~ $2.00 off socks wyb school supplies (or some similar wording)

I saw some ladies and kids Auro socks on clearance for $2.48 Big Grin

These aren't in plastic bag packaging...more like cardboard sleeve packaging, kwim?
You have to look through them because they were priced differently. I did not look in the mens section though, sorry.

Sadwalk no Fisher Price peelies. If anyone finds these and doesn;t need them, I'll be glad to trade. Thanks for posting the pics Sharon.

Also thanks Gatorcater for posting about the TRU/BRU Baby Einstein deal. I did that today and it worked out nice. I posted my scenario in that thread.

Lots of laptop/messenger bags 75% off

Could you give more details please - I need to get another sunday paper!
go to chicagotribune.com and it will ask for your zipcode and a special coupon code (in this case 09TJ). It will show the prices for newspapers after that. I just checked the .50/week sunday paper delivery and it will ask for your info. I also clicked on pay the bill by mail and you get a bill every quarter. The code is good for 6 months so just cancel when it goes back to regular price Big Grin

I noticed in the Wiki someone added that the Mid Rivers store in St. Peters has an update. I have been shopping there, even yesterday and haven't really noticed much changes. My coupons automatically deducted on all prices. However, I did notice when I had one to many glade coupons, the register said too many coupons for the order. So it seemed like it counted items vs. coupons. It was my last $1.50 glade coupon it did this on, and the cashier knew I had a ton of glade tins, refills, LI, S&S so he still pushed it though. I counted my coupons vs. items later on my receipt and saw I had one extra and that is why it must of done that.

Someone mentioned the update list in the WIKI.. can we delete that since its old news? That was when ETQ were eliminated! This has nothing to do with whatever is going on now
