Okay, I totally know I am way way way way way blessed and life is really actually peachy and wonderful.
Today, I just should've stayed in bed...
DD (who turned 2 yesterday - yay) insists on wearing undies. And while she's been doing really well all week with using the potty - today was a totally different story. I'm very thankful for hardwood floors. And, I'm very thankful for a happy, healthy, peeing 2-year old...
Took oldest DD (who is turning 13 tomorrow!!) to her "volunteer opportunity" at the local dance academy. She made a deal with the owner to "volunteer" her time (cleaning, answering phones, etc...) in exchange for dance lessons. No way could we afford it otherwise! I'm very thankful for a resourceful 13 year old!
After dropping off oldest DD, took youngest to Wags. Did a quick shop with miss Cranky Pants (tired, hungry). Cashier missed scanning one of my RR's for payment, but I didn't bother figuring it out til later. Water under the bridge, in my book (I just want to whine about it once) - paid 6.XX oop, got back 25 in RR's - not a bad transaction.
Figured baby was hungry, so we ran to McD's. Pulled in, started for the drive thru and the car sputtered and died. Would not start!! A lady and her son helped me push it into a parking spot and let me use her cell phone to call hubby. He didn't answer, and I figured that either he didn't have the phone, or would have to wait for a break and get the message. The lady waited for a while, expecting hubby to call back, but then had to leave.
After eating I went out to the car again, and tried to start it. It started, but when I started to back up, it began to sputter again and act like it was going to die. I decided to leave it there and walk to the auto parts store to see if they had suggestions. I took the baby and started out. I soon realized there was no way I would make it alive across the street at that time of day from McD's, so I had to walk several blocks to the light, then walk back to the auto parts store. At this point, they tell me they can't give me info, and could hook a thing up to the car to see if any codes come up, but they can't go across the street (literally across the street) to the car, I would have to bring it to them.
So, I go back the couple of blocks, cross the street, and head back to McD's. (Now, this WHOLE time I've been carrying the baby in my arms - no stroller). Thankfully, the car starts up and I head across the street (terrified it would stall in the middle of the road with a gazillion cars barreling down on me - thankfully, it didn't) I get there, they fiddle around, hook up the machine, poke around under the hood, and then tell me they can't figure out nothing.
By this time, it's almost time to get oldest DD. I head back out on the road - scared but moving. On the way, I try 4 payphones to get ahold of hubby. It would not go through - I kept getting "you must dial 1 and the area code" messages, and when I would, it said I was trying to call a foreign number. ARGHHHH!!! I KNOW that if hubby had gotten the message, he was going to be soooo worried. Did I mention I didn't have my cell phone on me?
Well, picked up DD, and at this time I'm so frazzled I don't even think to ask them if I can use their phone to call dh. I take DD home and see that hubby had called the house 5 times. *sigh* Called him to let him know all was well. Apparently, he had called everyone in his contacts list to try to get ahold of and/or find me. I then proceeded to call and let everyone know that all was well(ish).
So, I'm thankful that we are home and unharmed. I'm thankful that the car got us this far, thankful that hubby was annoyed but not yelling, and that we have such great friends that are concerned about us and willing to call McD's and try to track me down. Apparently, they were also ready to start crawling the city looking for me.
It did completely ruin my shopping day. I had planned to run to T for grocery shopping today. I don't have milk or any meats. I have some squash, a box of noodles, and some alfredo sauce - so that will be dinner. No clue what to do tomorrow. *sigh* I am also unable to complete my Wags shopping for the week, so that is annoying because I had plans for the 5/25 q!
I do feel like throwing up though... stress and me aren't getting along well today.

I have had a bad shopping week too. sometimes I get stressed about expiring coupons and missing deals. Then I just toss the expired ones in the trash and move on.. In 5 years from now, neither I nor the kids will remember what expired on 9/30! Keep reciting the mantra.. another day, another deal! I have missed out on so many mm wags deals the last few months, but sometimes i gotta stop and realize I just can't do it all and need to rest!
As far as dinner goes, I totally understand.. we are having grilled cheese sandwiches cause I have no meat to fix either, lol.

One word...vodkaberry. Mmmm mmmm good.
Not that I can have any yet
If anyone does CVS and still has their vocalpoint MQs for the bounce dryer bars, you can do a pretty decent roll with the P&G deal this week.
-Buy 6 dryer bars at $4 each
-Buy 1 Dawn hand renewal at $1
total = $25
Use:
-$5/25 flushot CVS Q
-$2.50 and/or $1.50 Bounce vocalpoint MQs
-.50 dawn hand renewal (from the last P&G)
Total = less than $10 (pay with EBs) and get $10 ECBs back
I whined for 8 months after having walfart do an oil change on my car (yes that was my fault right there). They had decided to do the 'liquids top up' thingie and put the WRONG antifreeze in my car...which then coagulated with my other antifreeze. It took my dad 5 hours of reflushing.
But during those 8 months everyone thought I was a hypocardriac. Seriously, thought I was going to go nutso.
So I hope things work out for you!!!!
Hey BTW I got my 1st target mailer today! YIPPPEEEE It has a $2 Boost q in it that can go w/ the bogo and 5/1, which I can trade if anyone wants.
(Can also trade a $5 similac check I just got and the enfamil mqs, mailer tq and similac mailer tq).
Today I found .50 combos mqs and stacked them w/ the tqs. Not free but DH loves them.

Really wanted to go to T today to use up the expiring q's, but never made it. I've just resigned myself to pitching the expired q's and moving on.
Took an online stress test today at work (just for fun) and it tells me that I am heading for a severe meltdown or burnout and that I better do something about that!
On a happier note, I received an email from BBW about them closing down the VIP program (did any of you join up?) and they will be sending out $50 GC's for use online!
Used some coupons.
They all worked.
LOVE T.
The end!
Hope you all had a fun q expiring day. I have a huge headache now!!
Oh and what is your avatar?
Worth 2sb expires 8PDT
