This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

Oooh...a new Target opened up a little ways away from me. Haven't been there yet, but it looks nice! Looks like they have the plastic carts, the store is on top of the garage, and there's an escalator for the cart! Will have to think about going over there someday soon.

(Not my pics.)

I haven't seen any of those plastic carts yet, but a few of my stores have the cart escalators. They are a total PIA. If you have to double back upstairs b/c you forgot something, it sux. But sky kit on the main reason why they are a PIA - no room under the cart (which I almost always need these days)

Since lots of peeps have been asking for help with the KM deal, I'm just going to post this here. It's a PM I originally wrote to INAA (hopefully he won't mind) about the two overlapping KM Glade deals. Remember, Deal #1 ends Monday; Deal #2 doesn't end until 12/24:

Apparently there's actually two overlapping deals (I didn't even realize this until recently).

So deal #1 is the multi-brand SC Johnson/Unilever/etc. deal-- but $25, get $5, buy $50, get $12.

Deal #2 is specific to holiday items, so your store would have to have that stuff out already if you want to double up. Here's the details:
Buy select holiday scj brands between 9/20 & 12/24

spend 10-14.99, get 2.00 oyno
15-19.99, 3 oyno
20, 5 oyno

scj brands include: saran holiday, ziploc holiday, glade holiday

Anyway, let's just focus on deal #1. So your goal is to get up to $50 for each transaction. This allows you to 1) use the weekly $5/50 Q and 2) get the $12 cat. So ideally you want to find as much qualifying crap that you have free (01) Qs for. So choice examples would include Glade, Huggies, and Ziploc. If you'll be having doubles next week, the choices are more.

So say you pony up with your freebie Lasting Impressions 01s and you get your $12 cat. (If you are using the $5/50 Q, you'll need at least $5 more of non-Q crap or you'll go neg, of course.) Now, if you want, you can flip that cat into a GC. All you have to do is buy $12 worth of crap (ideally that you have more free Qs for) + your GC (probably a $15 one). Give the cat first, then your free Qs, and you pay $3 + the tax. Rinse and repeat.

Or, if you like, you can overlap the transactions, buying $50 of free crap each time + GC and then rolling your cats each transaction. But then you can't use the $5/50 b/c they are both KM Qs and you can only use 1 per transaction.

So deal #2 I don't know much about except what I copied above but it seems straightforward enough-- if your store has the holiday crap out, buy at least $20 worth of SC Johnson holiday stuff as well as $30 more of stuff for deal #1 and you'll get the $12 cat + another $5 one.

If anyone has anymore questions about this, I'm happy to try to answer, either here on via PM. Although after botching my last couple of attempts Mad I'm not feeling like much of an expert. 2 lessons learned: scan ALL your items, and make sure your cashier actually RINGS UP all your items.

Oh, and besides the usual 01s, the Qs I've been using include $3 Huggies Qs and $3/$3.50/$4 Glade Qs.

I'm at work and photos don't show on my screen so I can't see the plastic carts. All of my stores have red plastic carts so I know it's not those. I can't imagine what they look like.

Best of all:
He says "good job coupons". His favorite thing (one of many) is to pull as many blinkies out of blinkie machines as he can.
That is adorable. Smilie

Love the photos and here's hoping for the fluid issue to clear up.

So if you could use them and are a TCC regular (I should at least recognize your user name) PM me with your answer to this question: I just recently replaced the purse that was stolen. What color purse did I buy? (Hint: I posted the answer in another thread.)

I'll be accepting answers via PM for the next 24 hours ('til 10:15 MST tomorrow morning).
Quoting my own post here: Trang was the only one who got the question right (she did her homework Teehee) but she didn't want the Qs. Neither did anyone else apparently, so I think I'll just have a little funeral pyre for them in my kitchen. laugh out loud

The answer was orange, for those who are curious.

Cross posting from the lounge baby thread.

So I finally made it to the fabric store to make my own faux Moby wrap. I :he art: it and so does LJ. When he's awake and alert he likes to try to eat the fabric while he's swiveling his head around checking out the world. When he's sleepy, he puts his head on my chest and crashes out.

I just got a sling I ordered from fleabay and regret buying it. In the wrap he is snug as a bug in a rug!

Yes I know my camera phone is covering my face...I want LJ to be the focal point of the pic. :tee hee:
I am so impressed that you MADE that yourself. He looks so happy in it! We heart the baby bjorn (I'd never be able to go shopping without it). I've got a hotsling in his dresser that was basically never used. I keep meaning to drag it out now that he's big enough to do the side/hip hold thingie.

There is a 2 story T in San Diego that I HATED shopping at. Thank goodness I have plenty of T's to shop at in my neck of the woods. IDK what I'd do without the space on the bottom of the cart.

nod And mine never seems to have the kiddie carts either. So I lose out on even more room when the kids come with me! And I also agree on having to run back and forth b/w floors...I usually just take the elevator. I did see those plastic carts once and thought they were really nice!

I finally got it to go through today at work but of course I can't print here (can't install coupon printer Crying ) so I just emailed myself the link to print at home.

DS has a fever of 102. I can't help but worry about the stupid flu! But DH reminded me he was around our babysitter's daughter on Monday who had a fever by the time he got there to pick DS up. Babysitter said she was lethargic/had a fever for a day or so but then was fine, so I hope it's the same for him.

Can anyone remind me if 02 coupons otto at T?

Also, has anyone refilled the digital camera gc? Does it prompt for amount or do $50 automatically?

Ok, I know this was discussed on this board a couple of months ago but it seems I can't remember any of what was being said. Where can I get some cheap pregnancy test stuff again? Is it the dollar store? Thank you in advance Smilie

I'm not sure about the dollar stores, but I know dollar general has them for 1.00 if you can find them in stock.

I think there's also been discussion on the chinese pee-pee papers - not sure where you order them from, but from what I remember they were pretty inexpensive. Still waiting for the one qqueen sent me to work it's magic... LOL!

Thats it. Thank you so much. I think its dollar general (I know there is a dollar word on that name somewhere laugh out loud ). I might have to check those there. They are expensive at the drugstores as I just found out earlier. I can't bring myself to buy any laugh out loud

Not sure yet but there is a chance although im not feeling anything unusual so it might just be for nothing anyway. I think those chinese pee-pee papers are ordered online. Will have to check the website of that one too.
