Target Chit Chat

This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

So DH spent the entire day sick as a dog dead to the world sleeping on the couch. I've washed my hands so many times they are cracked and bleeding. He's got the nastiest productive cough! Sad thing is I've got a scratchy throat from post nasal drip. I figured earlier in the day it was because I was dusting and vacuuming. I've just started coughing too. I cannot get sick, I have no one to help with the baby Frown

I've drank some Emergen-C but I think my efforts are futile.

Pray that I don't get knocked down like DH.
Good luck Thirfty! I hope you and the babes don't get sick!!

I wanted to ask you about the wrap you made. Was it simple? I think it would be a great gift for my SIL and her new baby girl!!

Yes the wrap was super easy. Google. Make your own Moby wrap and there are super simple instructions. I chose a matte jersey fabric for the no sew version. Matte jersey doesn't roll or fray if it doesn't have a finished edge. You can get any kind of knit (I'd look for a lightweight one since having that baby wrapped on ua can get warm). The Moby website has instrctions with picture on how to put on the wrap and several different ways you can wear the baby.

Thanks! Will do!

Ok I looked it up and it is super simple. My cousin works @ Joann's Fabric so I think she can get a discount for me!

Is it weird I want one? My DD is way too big and I am not expecting but I want to make one for me for next DK! LOL

I just sorted ALL of my glade into separate totes so I have it all neatly organized for ebaying. Is it sad that between KM and T I have 6 FULL 70 gallon totes?? Those things are packed full and thats after 2 big weeks of ebaying!

Take some Airborne every few hours, get as much sleep as you can (I know, I know, new baby = no sleep), call your doctor and ask if you can get an antibiotic as a preventative measure. I hope you stay healthy, at least until after you move so at least you have people to help you with LJ hug

I'm so embarassed!!! Blush3 yesterday, I started cleaning the laundry closet (and quit soon after when I realized it would be an all day job...) and found BAGS full Glade from the last GC deal last Christmas. Never even took them out of the Target bags. Then found more bags in the upstairs closet. Just loaded them up to take to my grandmother. Happy Holidays, Gram!! Teehee (don't worry-they have all been de-couponed Evil)

stopping in to say hi- and learned a good lesson:

Just trying to be a good SD citizen; posted about finding Glade Q's in the T thread. what was I thinking LMAO lots of pms from new people wanting to know the best scenarios.
My standard reply: buy 2 tins, and 1 pack of refills ... and use your Q. I got sucked back into Wags with a fury and not much time for T. General comments though:

Sungoddess- my director smacked a manager on her arm the other day..I did not see it, but was told by one of my colleagues that she hit her arm once also. Doubt she would do it to me.. knows better laugh out loud

Meg- good luck on job...do you need a reference? I can give you an awesome one (organized, outstanding math skills, supports local business, loves Glade)

Mofo- did u find the trick or treat bags u were looking for?

Thrifty- gorgeous baby- I love the pics of all the babes.. SB time for new pics!

Teri- wow- alot going on- hang in there and best health wishes

Dia- still lovin' the multi quotes

QQueen- did u do Kmart and Wags- not much time for anything else for me

Tootsie and M2C- cutest kids I have ever seen- the pics always make me smile.

Thanks for all the great posts here that have helped me so much. will be following this thread - not sure I have patience for the other. did want to mention that I found tons of jewelry marked 75%.. most were around 3.xx. funny thing is at my T the glass cases are covered up from the inside with paper and only a few of the better stuff on top of the glass cases. the rest is all the crap hanging on the pegs. didn't have time to ask if they are discontinuing the nicer jewelry.

I wonder if they're getting ready to reset with a Christmas jewelry set? You know, red and snowflake backgrounds, etc. Might want to take a look at the nicer 75% off stuff for good gifts! thanks Smilie

oh and Smack for playing in the deals thread laugh out loud I've made that mistake as well and field all sorts of crazy PMs afterward. Always a 'lesson learned'. Doh

Since we are sharing pics, I took this one this morning on our walk to drop DS off at daycare. It is already cold and he looks so darn cute all bundled up!

On a picture note, I am looking at getting a new camera. I was looking at the Nikon D80 because my sister has it, but she seems to think it's too much camera for me laugh out loud

Does anyone have a recommendation on a DSLR?
